Title: Lines Drawn OOC
Post by: Necris on February 21, 2012, 11:57:42 PM
Ok so this is an all action RP

Set in the Feroxa Subsector which lies in the souther regions of segmentum tempestus here the Inquisition has come to war under the leadership of the extremist Lord Severus Constantine the Inquisition has become fractured those supporting Constantine are mobilising for war against what Constantine deems as heretics which involves almost everyone that follows the radical paths.

Constantine seeks to purge the inquisition to make it a purist force against the enemies of the imperium

due to the presence of the Veiled Region within the segmentum there is a high number of ordo xenos inquisitors and it is by an far the largest represented ordo in the sub sector.

I will fire up more information later but if you want to join in

Inquisitors are more than welcome pick your side post your character bear in mind though that this is a war in the shadows not a full blown conflict this is all about striking your enemies when they least expect it and annihilating them before they can amass a response

Those wishing to capitalise on the chaos the inquisition is in are welcome too, killing inquisitors to prolong their war is always of benefit to the enemies of mankind

This seems very interesting. I will start work on a character right away, probably a hardcore puritan.

Sorry for the double post, I just finished my character for this.

NAME: Tomyris Cassadon

AGE: 65

RANK: Inquisitor of the Ordo Hereticus

APPEARANCE: Cassadon is pale like many hivers. She has short, curly brown hair and a long scar across her round face, running from above her right eye to her chin.

BELIEFS: Inquisitor Cassadon beliefs that all traces of heresy should be removed. Any evil, no matter how small will always grow to threaten the Imperium. Only by ruthlessly crushing even the smallest deviancy can humanity rise to fulfill its fate, dominion over the entire galaxy. Her deep faith to the Emperor is leading for her. She considers luxury to be a diversion from duty and avoids it as much as she can. She for instance prefers to sleep on hard floors rather than in a soft bed. She beliefs that even seeking to enjoy oneself breaks the devotion the Emperor requires.

PERSONALITY: Inquisitor Cassadon is stern and unforgiving. She is utterly focused on her duty and hates unbelievers with a fiery passion. This does not mean that she is above using dirty tricks herself, there just are many lines she will never cross.

ABILITIES:  Cassadon has a remarkably knowledge of scripture. Other than that she is a good shot and knows how to use her power mace. When necessary she can pretend to be someone else but her revulsion from sin is noticeable to those looking for it.

EQUIPMENT: Cassadon habitually wears white armour over white robes. She is armed with a power mace, a finely detailed gilded laspistol and a bolt carbine.Around her neck she wears a simple necklace, from it hangs a small, old icon in the form of a dove.

HISTORY:
947M41   Born in one of the lower layers of Gyges hive on Kandaul II.

956M41   Joins the Hellcats, one of the gangs making the hive unsafe.

959M41   Becomes a full member of the gang after she kills a member of a rival gang.

964M41   Encounters the sisters of charity, a religious organization on Kandaul II. Their message about the Emperor and faith appeals to her and joins this cult cutting all ties with her former gang.

969M41   During a revolt in the hive the Sisters of Charity are targeted by angry mobs. As one of the few members with any experience at arms she leads the defense of the main temple. After several days of the revolt a motley band breaks through the attacking rabble. Their leader identifies himself as inquisitor Tardon who is heavily injured. The sisters heal him while Cassadon keeps out the traitors.

970M41   The siege of the temple is finally broken when Imperial Guard troops summoned by Tardon arrive, it is revealed that the revolt was initiated by inquisitor Havek who wished to overthrow the old order of the hive world which he considered to be corrupt. Cassadon swears to Tardon that she will follow him to bring the radical to justice.

972M41   Inquisitor Tardon tracks Havek to one of his hideouts. When they attack he soon discovers that they have run into a trap. Cassadon is cut across the face by a poisoned blade wielded by inquisitor Havek as he makes his escape. Cassadon narrowly survives, the scar never heals. She refuses surgery to have it removed.

977M41   Tardon sees the hand of Havek in a series of revolts erupting in the Gyan cluster. In a series of bloody pogroms he ends these revolts. He gives Cassadon responsibility for cleansing Fontano, a mining colony. She successfully crushed the revolt under an iron heel. Almost ten per cent of the population is executed for treason.

981M41   The Gyan pogroms finally end when Gyan II, the great hive world surrenders rather than face the massed forces of the Imperium. Ringleaders are rounded and burned in what becomes known as the day of a million pyres. Cassadon is appointed to oversee the actual executions.

988M41   Cassadon is appointed an independent agent by inquisitor Tardon.

989M41   Cassadon slays the ninety-sixth warrior incarnate of Ynula in single combat.

993M41   On Defforis Prime the Children of Justice are uncovered by Cassadon. With the aid of inquisitor Tardon the heretics are purged.

005M41   While undercover in the court of Wadan Gech, lord governor of Nyawier, she suddenly encounters a known agent of inquisitor Havek. She follows him but before he can lead her to his master he discovers that he is being followed. He attempts to shoot her but Cassadon is saved by her conversion field. She manages to subdue him but before he can speak he commits suicide. Immediately afterwards the unexpected deaths of natural causes of many of the more competent of the nobility stop.

008M42   Promoted to full inquisitor.

012M42   Sets out to bring those inquisitors she deems heretical to justice after the speech of Constantine at the conclave of Feroxa.

And I posted the first part about her. I guess that she has reincarnated once. Joining a gang is safe so she died only to be reborn a while later. That makes sense, right?

Dolnikan: I'm guessing you're talking about juvenat treatment, which is entirely different to being reincarnated -- that generally doesn't happen unless you're a Dark Eldar.

Necris: I'm in two minds about joining. On the one hand, I'm juggling two and my teacher training. On the other, I have some names for characters I'm otherwise not putting to any use. Help me make up my mind? :P

sorry would you like me to be more convincing than that :-D

I'll add more stuff tomorrow when I'm more rested having spent the day looking after a very sickly 8 month old and then spending the last 5 hours blacksmithing I'm not focussed enough to post directly

I did mean reincarnation, otherwise she could not have joined a gang before being born. Of course it all was just a little mistake.

double

Presenting character for dissection.

---

NAME: Rosheine Adele Macauley

KNOWN ALIASES: Over the years Macauley has posed as Adept Esmée Bosen, Rogue Trader Marjolein De Haven, and the Erstenhemer Countess Marian Alink in the course of duty, but is just as likely to adopt any old name and pose as a pilgrim or missionary if she feels it necessary.

RANK / AFFILIATION: Inquisitor / Ordo Hereticus

PHYSICAL STATS:
Date of Birth: (3)504920.M41
Place Of Birth: Erstenheme, Segmentum Pacificus
Gender: Female
Height: 178cm / 5'10"
Weight: 60kg
Physical Appearance: http://i40.tinypic.com/24yph5f.jpg

PERSONALITY/BELIEFS: Macauley is a dangerously pragmatic Istvaanian, and will not hesitate to take any steps necessary to carry out her affairs. Macauley has no reservations about using xenotech or proscribed artifacts, as evidenced by the rather frightening collection of weaponry, trinkets and curios she keeps on board her ship. She is just as willing to murder her rivals as she is to sleep with a potential source of information, and just as prepared to hire and then double-cross an agent as she is to call down an orbital strike on a crowd of innocents just to eliminate one witness.

Macauley has surprisingly little time for politics, and cares only about reforming the Imperium. In this regard, she is perfectly willing to commit the greatest of sins to combat the Imperium's own weaknesses.

ABILITIES/STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES: Macauley has a talent for using firearms of all shapes and sizes, frequently performing on the level of a trained Storm Trooper whether using pistols or heavy weapons. While Macauley is no slouch in close combat, and will carry at least one power blade at all times, she will prefer to shoot her enemies wherever possible. Macauley is, however, an impatient lady, and although she can happily put a lasbolt through a gretchin's eyeball at a hundred paces, she prefers rapid-firing or area-of-effect weapons to slow-firing guns whose strength relies on precision.

Macauley's psi quotient is remarkably low, even for a normal human, and while this affords her a moderate level of protection from psychic abilities and the powers of the Warp, few psykers will affiliate themselves with her out of choice, as inevitably they will remark upon her being "two steps from oblivion" and remove themselves from her presence (at which point Macauley usually shoots them and saves herself the bother of dealing with them later).

WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT:
-Guard flak armour, Erstenhemer Protectorate standard issue
-Erstenhemer CN-5 "Adherent" laspistol (modified for greater shot strength)
-Erstenhemer PX-2 "Magnate" plasma pistol
-Erstenhemer AM-3457 "Dragoon" gatling laspistol x2 (looted)
-Graian "Eradicator" combat shotgun, 12-GA
-Graian "Argentum" power blade x2
-Dark Eldar splinter rifle (looted)
-Tau pulse carbine (imported)
-Energy field generator, unknown make (likely looted)
-Ceremonial sword, unknown provenance (likely looted, possible Chaos artifact)

NOTE: Rarely carries everything at once, but always carries at least one power blade and her CN-5.

NOTE: For the purposes of this RP, Macauley is carrying one power blade, her CN-5, one Dragoon, and her shotgun, and is wearing her armour and field generator.

KNOWN ASSOCIATES: Macauley tends to hire operatives on a per-mission basis, before killing them for knowing too much. As such, Macauley's "associates" are limited to the crew aboard her ship, the Cobra-class His Resolve, with whom she mingles as little as possible. However, she has adopted the acolyte networks of rival Inquisitors, but cares little for the well-being (or identities) of these surrogate acolytes.

HISTORY:
-920.M41: Born on Erstenheme
-928.M41: Is lured into gang violence by the Sumpside Crew gang, who use her as a "lure" to stage muggings.
-929.M41: Fires her first gun.
-929.M41: Makes her first kill.
-929.M41: Makes her second through fifth kills as the Sumpside Crew are too stunned by the notion of being shot at by a nine-year-old to fight back.
-929.M41: Is arrested by the Adeptus Arbites, together with nine other Sumpside Crew members.
-929.M41: Is forcibly enrolled at a Schola Progenium. The family, meanwhile, are informed of her "death".
-939.M41: Having undergone a radical turnaround in the past ten years, enrols as a Commissar cadet.
-941.M41: Is attached to the Erstenhemer 84th Protectorate.
-948.M41: Is deployed to Nova Sagittar on the border with Segmentum Tempestus.
-948.M41: Is seconded, together with the Erstenhemer 84th, to Inquisitor Diederich Paxton on Nova Sagittar in order to combat a Chaos insurrection.
-948.M41: Ambushed in her sleep, and takes on a Chaos assassin armed with a Guard utility knife and a thumping headache. Predictably defeats the assassin, but cannot return to sleep, owing to the mixed stench of blood and alcohol emanating from the deceased assassin.
-949.M41: Leads a key victory over the Chaos forces with the 84th, but takes a shrapnel wound to the shoulder during the final push as a missile launcher crew gets trigger-happy.
-950.M41: Is jumped by a Chaos psyker, whose powers curiously fail to have any effect whatsoever even as her squad is killed. Inquisitor Paxton is intrigued.
-950.M41: Is recruited as a double agent for Inquisitor Paxton.
-952.M41: Advocates collapsing an Administratum building to dislodge a particularly well-entrenched enemy platoon. Is largely ridiculed, but correctly points out that the 84th still has a Basilisk squadron on the back lines.
-952.M41: Successfully puts down the Chaos insurrection on Nova Sagittar, with a solid 30% of the planetary capital's buildings (and 40% of the Erstenhemer 84th) having survived the war.
-952.M41: Is formally recruited into Inquisitor Paxton's service. The remaining Erstenhemer Guardsmen also enter Paxton's service as auxilia.
-956.M41: Last of the Erstenhemer 84th perishes on Issana.
-956.M41: Is promoted to Interrogator following the collapse of a psyker cabal on Issana.
-958.M41: Reveals the Duke Isanan to be a genestealer hybrid, and promptly has an orbital strike called down on his estate.
-974.M41: Is caught up in a shuttle crash on Indeli Septimus. Is torn between escaping the planet and stopping a Dark Eldar incursion; eventually chooses to hijack a Thunderbolt fighter, shooting down several enemy skimmers before making herself scarce. Takes an enemy longarm, several knives, and copious amounts of spare ammunition as "trophies".
-974.M41: Is promoted to Inquisitor for a successful baptism by fire.
-974.M41: Is invited to join the Ordo Hereticus. Discovers Istvaanianism.
-979.M41: Murders Governer Nicolescu of Lu'el, then sits back and watches various corrupt noble houses tear each other apart in their bid for governorship.
-983.M41: Is instrumental in crushing the Numenate Secession by calling down an orbital strike onto Baron Chieti's summer residence.
-987.M41: Macauley's ship, the Sword-class Eye of the Emperor, is destroyed above Estu by a freak cascade failure in the main reactor. Establishes a safe house on Estu, and stows away on freighters and civilian transports for the next twenty-four years.
-990.M41: Investigates a Chaos cult on Oxaenan, claiming to possess a copy of the Book of Horus. Is captured and ritually disfigured by the cult, receiving a wound from her forehead down to her throat. Breaks free and kills every last cultist with a ceremonial sword, before confiscating the book and firing it into Oxaenan's star. Retains the sword.
-992.M41: Murders Inquisitor Paxton before he can publicly denounce her extremist tendencies. Evidence planted on the body points to the Amalathian Inquisitor Garte, who is (wrongly) denounced as a heretic and executed.
-006.M42: Imports a Tau pulse carbine from a Third Sphere colony, under the guise of Xenographer-Adept Jana Steen. "Tests" the weapon on the courier.
-010.M42: Murders Inquisitor Osmond Johm and steals his laspistols, before assuming his acolyte network, who (with one notable exception) remain none the wiser.
-010.M42: Assumes control of Inquisitor Johm's vessel, His Resolve, and has the entire crew "reprocessed" and replaced, even down to the servitors.
-010.M42: Enters the Feroxa Subsector.

ASSOCIATED TROPES:
Cutting The Knot (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CuttingTheKnot): Usually done while sticking two fingers up at common sense and decorum.
Combat Pragmatist (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CombatPragmatist)
The Uriah Gambit (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheUriahGambit): Does this with assumed acolytes that she doesn't like, but stops short of sending two cells out to fight each other.
Murder Is The Best Solution (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MurderIsTheBestSolution): If you're about to cross her, denounce her as a heretic, or you simply know too much, then she will believe this.
Sociopathic Hero (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SociopathicHero)
Lack Of Empathy (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LackOfEmpathy): She killed her own mentor and then pinned the blame on someone completely unrelated. And it worked.
Well-Intentioned Extremist (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WellIntentionedExtremist): Can be seen as this.
Ignored Epiphany (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/IgnoredEpiphany): If she realises that something's a bad idea, the end result is usually "this could go wrong here, here and here, so I'm going to fix that"
I Thought It Was Forbidden (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/IThoughtItWasForbidden): Xenotech use falls under Type 2; the sword is arguably an Evil Weapon (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvilWeapon) instead.
It Amused Me (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ItAmusedMe): Her Uriah Gambit (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheUriahGambit) involving Governor Nicolescu and the noble houses.
You Have Outlived Your Usefulness (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness): Never actually says this, but skips straight to the shooting.
Death From Above (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DeathFromAbove): Orbital strikes are a perfectly justified way to dispose of people Macauley doesn't like.
There Is No Kill Like Overkill (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill): See above.
The Purge (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ThePurge): Does this to the crew of her new ship, right down to the servitors.

A very interesting character. It seems to me that our inquisitors have some slight differences in their points of view. That could certainly lead to interesting interactions.

There is one thing I wonder about, how does she take over acolyte networks?

I'd wager that many acolytes never see their Inquisitor, so you only need to convince them that you're their new handler or that they've been transferred.

Any that don't buy it are "expendable".

Indeed. I wonder what her reaction would be to meeting Cassadon.

QuoteThere is one thing I wonder about, how does she take over acolyte networks?
Very much as Marco described, though in Johm's case she didn't even bother with that, and just used Johm's rosette (and dead hand for fingerprint scan) to start bossing them around. In any case, the mere fact that she has acolyte networks is very much an afterthought for her.

She's actually toyed with the idea of sending different cells from different networks off to fight each other and then seeing who survives, but the danger of that is one cell or both realising that they've been stitched up, so she's never bothered.

EDIT: In which we learn that Macauley will probably booby-trap anything and everything.

EDIT 2: In which I decide that Macauley looks surprisingly androgynous, and alarmingly similar to a few people I know (genders irrelevant)

EDIT 3: In which Macauley is now Troperised.

Dolnikan: I've made the assumption here that Macauley has at least heard of Cassadon, even if she doesn't know an awful lot about her.

Necris: Couldn't resist recycling Constantine's speech in that post. One generally has to assume that Macauley has ways of finding things out (as an Inquisitor, not specifically because she's Macauley); in this case, that'll include the Conclave of Feroxa, and the fact that it was Keirta that blundered into her trap. It's likely she has a cell on Estu "keeping an eye on things".

Having heard about Cassadon is easily possible, her methods tend to attract a bit of attention after all.

Necris, I hope it's OK to put up a character - I'm assuming you would have said if it wasn't. I'll hold off posting anything until this character has been thoroughly critiqued.

Inquisitor Drazno 'Witch-taker' Bockelsson of the Ordo Hereticus
Born: 5452848.M41 Selinus III
Gender: Male

Appearance: Even taking into account the effects of a lifetime of warp-travel, Bockelsson has lived for over a century, while also being prematurely aged by the use of his psychic powers. He  has a spindly figure, with heavily wrinkled dark skin and a short white beard. His head carries a few wispy remnants of hair. A brass augmetic is clamped to his skull where his right ear used to be, with four tubes emerging from it, each looping round into the back of head. Bockelsson typically wears the broad-brimmed hat of a Witch Hunter, a large dark green coat, heavy boots, gloves and a waistcoat, all with several pockets.

Personality: Thanks to his impeccable mental strength, Drazno has partly avoided the fate of many telepaths. Despite having shared the thoughts of countless minds, he remains sane. However, his original, engaging personality and fierce convictions have been worn away over the years. Once, he was a zealous witch-hunter, utterly convinced of the Emperor's impending resurrection and dedicated to sending as many psykers as possible to Terra to hasten this moment. Now, particularly with the 41st millennium having passed without any resurrection, Drazno no longer clearly knows what the Emperor wants of him, and the spiritual elation he used to feel when collecting psykers or slaying heretics has given way to a vague satisfaction. Also, the galaxy seems less vibrant than it used to be, as though his years of meddling with the senses of others have now begun to erode his own. Only one thing truly staves off the feeling of decay: psychically digging into the mind of another and refashioning it according to his will. Since his early days he has gradually shifted towards more covert types of operation. In contrast, he has grown far less likely to go undercover himself: becoming another person does not appeal to a man increasingly worried about maintaining his own personality.

Abilities: Drazno is not an extraordinarily powerful telepath, but he has honed his control to a razor-edge. He can sense minds, burrow into them, shift senses and confuse thoughts. Though he cannot directly take control, he can often alter perceptions enough to create an equivalent effect. Given enough time, he can thoroughly reprogram victims, an ability he likes to use in conjunction with hypno-indoctrination and chemical treatment to produce infil-traitors. Bockelsson is reasonably adept with blade and gun, though he is not a naturally talented fighter.

Equipment: Drazno is never without his psykana mercy blade and the bone duct-flute that acts as his psy-focus. His flakweave clothing usually conceals light carapace, while his pockets contain an array of useful items, such as his excruciator, psy-tracker, exotic grenades, knives and bits of string. One of his gloves is actually a shock gauntlet. If possible, he will carry his Ceres-pattern bolt pistol, often loaded with Inferno rounds, and a power maul.

History (short version):
M41
848 Drazno son of Bockel born into hereditary servitude to House Sicani.
863 Drazno becomes a Herald of House Sicani.
865 Extinction of House Glahbid: the last Glahbid Malik dies of slow-acting poison, shortly after summarily executing his last surviving brother for the extra-legal killing of their nephew, on the basis that he had assassinated the Malik's two children.
869 Selinus effectively divided between three pseudo-Maliks locked in low-intensity conflict. The few Houses that remain independent rely heavily on their Heralds' diplomatic skill.
874 Gizewo Wolksson of House Sicani officially becomes Malik of Selinus. Drazno given the task of rewriting histories and genealogies to match the Sicani version.
876 A Black Ship visits Selinus. Drazno is taken as part of the psyker tithe, assessed to be a telepath.
897 Drazno is charged with assessing the mental purity of Scholastia Psykana trainees.
899 Drazno assists Inquisitor Raceva in her investigation of heretical practices by the ruling family of Cerogutia.
901 Serves Inquisitor Raceva on her tour aboard a Black Ship.
904 Promoted to interrogator by Inquisitor Raceva.
924 Elevated to the rank of Inquisitor.
934 Accompanies a Black Ship into the Fexora sub-sector.
961 Attends the previous Conclave of Fexora.
986 Drazno recruits Kat Satternach to treat his second pupil and retains her after the acolyte dies.
994 Ends his third tour on a Black Ship in the Fexora sub-sector.
996 Storms the Palace of Gorobad the Cruel with the assistance of the 14th Daubdan Grenzers. Casualties are extremely high. Many survivors are executed to guard against moral corruption. The remainder are taken by Bockelsson as Inquisitorial militia after suitable conditioning.
M42
012 Prevented from attending the Conclave of Fexora by warp disturbances.

Associates:
Interrogator Kat Satternach. She has a great deal of medical skill, is expert at non-psychic methods of interrogation, investigation and incapacitation. Kat is the longest serving of Drazno's retinue.

Sergeant Chebok and Captain Vepsin. Both of these  men were once Daubdan Grenzers. They are the only two retaining their lives, sanity and memories. Chebok is Bockelsson's best militant, and leads his mind-cleansed Grenzer bodyguard. Vepsin acts as a mixture of Drazno's chamberlain, personal servant and third-in-command.

Eight ex-Grenzers: Ksi, Fita, Yat, Tse, Ot, Sha, El and Pe. Thanks to Bockelsson, none remember the Palace of Gorobad or much else from their lives. They have all the unswerving devotion of the expertly brainwashed.

Neomarcus Almagoren, Imperial Diviner. He relatively recently joined Drazno, replacing a burned-out Astropath. Bockelsson wonders if Almagoren's divinations might help reveal the Emperor's plan for him.

Julia Garcnerez. She acts as Bockelsson's savant, and is usually accompanied by her lexomat.

Jotun Iarow. A rogue pyromancer captured by Drazno last year. There has not been a chance to hand him over to the Black Ships as yet. While keeping him contained, Drazno began tampering with his mind to reduce the risk he posed. This has gone well, and Drazno is toying with the idea of turning him into a telepathically-controlled psychic weapon. Edit: Too bonkers

Drazno sounds pretty dangerous, if I may say so, and he doesn't even have to leave the house... :P

Not sure he understands the risks of turning Iarow into a weapon, though -- either that, or I don't entirely get what you had in mind, as I'm currently interpreting that as an indirect lowering of Iarow's safeguards against the perils of the Warp (and therefore possession-time)

Necris: Is Goridas currently on Semtera, or somewhere else? It may affect the content of my next post.

Do you think I should tone him down?

The idea with Iarow was to load him with telepathic suggestions to obey Drazno, clamp some kind of psy-dampener to him, cart him around sedated and occasionally free him to blow things up at Drazno's command.  A sort of psychic arco-flagellant, if  you like. Maybe with a bomb tied to his head.

I wasn't trying to get at anything of the sort. Considering that I've submitted an Inquisitor that thinks nothing of plasma-bombing other Inquisitors for fun and profit, it would be a bit hypocritical of me to suggest Drazno needs toning down. In any case he's going to have fun if he ever wants to play with Macauley's head -- it's likely he'll get a migraine for his troubles and/or a lasbolt to the face -- and I dare say Cassadon would have a few things to say as well.

Must admit, I'm still not seeing how Iarow has any safeguards against being possessed once he's "switched on". It sounds to me that if he's a "psychic arco-flagellant" then he's going to just light up like a bonfire in the Warp when Drazno lets him loose, and the comparison with an Arco has some nasty implications about a lack of self-control...

Drazno seems very interesting. However I agree with Koval about the psychic arco-flagellant, without full control he would be more of a psychic living bomb. You send him at someone, activate him and he draws the warp into him, killing himself and hurting everyone nearby, maybe even bringing a daemon into the world.

Edit: I posted up another bit, mostly some preaching, Cassadon loves her sermons.

Postage. Macauley really isn't a nice person by any means, and it's also a pretty poor idea to get on her bad side. As we can see in my latest offering, she's quite happy to throw the crew of an entire ship to daemons just to kill off one rival.

She was, however, being extremely imaginative -- it's not likely that she'll pull off a repeat of that little stunt.

That certainly is overkill, but there is never enough overkill when there are heretics involved. I really have to have Cassadon show herself from her less direct side someday.

Worth pointing out as well that Vecciani was on Constantine's side, therefore only a heretic from Macauley's point of view.

I've added a note to Macauley's profile about what she's carrying; reposting here.
QuoteNOTE: For the purposes of this RP, Macauley is carrying one power blade, her B-5, one Dragoon, and her shotgun, and is wearing her armour and field generator.

Thinking it over, an experienced psyker and witch-hunter wouldn't be stupid enough to create something like Iarow. I'll save the idea for someone more bonkers.

Is Drazno otherwise OK? He's pretty heavily tooled-up, though I imagine he'd lose a straight fight against Cassadon or Macauley. He also doesn't have a natural side to pick in the conflict. He's got psychic powers, the record of a puritan, but no longer the unshakeable certainty (I like the idea that his shaken belief in the Emperor's resurrection could be connected to his personality loss).

I think that he will fit in just fine. His armament is quite close to what Cassadon has but she has probably made more use of it and has a tentency of not giving up, no matter the injuries.

There is nothing wrong with not being on a clear side. To fanatics like Cassadon he is an abomination already, if she finds out about his psychic powers that is. It actually is a very nice idea to have a moderate in there as well, he might even be attacked by both sides who see him as their enemy.

Not a problem...
Quotethough I imagine he'd lose a straight fight against Cassadon or Macauley.
Cassadon I can see, but the only way Macauley would win a straight fight is by fighting dirty and/or bringing bigger guns than what she's currently using, as at the moment Drazno's more heavily armed by a long way. This being Macauley, however, it's unlikely to end in a straight fight unless something goes horribly wrong for her :P

The crash landing is interesting, might I ask which planet she ended up on?
Title: Re: Lines Drawn OOC

Somewhere in the Semtera system; seeing as the only planet we know to be inhabited (and to have a Guard presence) is Semtera IX, it's safest to assume she ended up there. That arc's just going to be left hanging if I alter the Ferox Est post to have it over Godan.

EDIT: Apparently crash-landings are becoming a theme for me as of late. The lasguns in this life pod are Ryza-M pattern, from which the (very heavy) Drusus Prime lasgun in Dark Heresy was derived (and which DH suggests are ubiquitous). I made the assumption that these were also heavier than other patterns, based on what the derivative weighs. Doesn't matter much anyway, Macauley's decided she can't lift one with two cracked ribs and a subluxed shoulder.

Macauley's extremely hard to write for, as it happens...

Is this still active then? Should I post an introduction for Drazno?
Title: Re: Lines Drawn OOC

Necris deactivated it but Dolnikan and I decided to keep it going, largely because there's a lot of mileage in Cassadon, and I disliked the idea of having created a character like Macauley for no reason. I don't have a problem with Drazno being introduced, but keep in mind that the RP -- now that Necris has canned it -- is likely to end up being "organic" in nature.

Of course you could post an introduction, the more people are in this the more fun.

Edit: I posted a short bit introducing Cassadon's next possible purge.

I prefer writing a Cain-style Commissar to a more traditional one, purely because the BLAM HERESY types are just one-dimensional (if acceptable as one-scene wonders).

Incidentally, nobody ever told this one about EYHBTIAL.
