Good evening everyone,
I'm a newcomer to this forum, having played Warhammer for several years. I work full time however I just got made redundant .
I have a huge passion for Warhammer, and greatly love the Inquisition; I am in the process of building a warband of them. Ideally I would love to use this forum to run my lore and background ideas for my party members by you, and hopefully get some play by post RPs up and running!
So hello everyone!
WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!
Sorry about the redundancy thing. At least you'll have some spare hobby time :D I used my time, er, 'between jobs' to get my guard army done. What do you have planned? ;D
Thank you for the welcome!
My plan so far is to look for jobs and then cry when I do not get one as well as build a new Inquisitorial Party (having sold my old one, like a total muppet back before I started Uni). IN my defence, drinking seemed like a bigger priority, and old Valtarium kept me going for about thirty minutes. Worth it.
Other than that, I am probably going to be working out how best to form a party of Inquisitors, retinue and the like. Books coming this week (hopefully), and then I shall fire some ideas up on the Conclave for your feedback before making some purchases!
Indeed, welcome.
London isn't a bad place to be for Inquisitor. Although I'm not sure there are any regular gaming groups (in 54mm anyway. I believe that the 28mm scene is doing reasonably well there), the forum does occasionally game at Dark Sphere near Waterloo, and you can catch trains straight to Nottingham for our WHW events (which is a pleasant walk from the station).
On which note, we're meeting at WHW on the 11th (although we're hoping they'll be able to scrounge up another table for us) - even if you're not going to be ready to play by then, you'd be entirely welcome to spectate and chat. It might help get you up to speed on the game again.
I'm happy to pack an extra Warband for you as well. :) I'll just bring my Inquisitor case which has 4-5 Warbands in it.
So ideas on your War band? Radical? Puritan? Pragmatist? Or something a bit darker?
Welcome!
I too have spare models aplenty and I'm good at quickly statting just about anything
Unfortunately, it is unlikely I can make it to Nottingham next week :( However, the next time something happens at Dark Sphere, I shall do my best to attend.
When it comes to the Inquisitor himself, my plan is to focus on a Puritan Inquisitor, and then as time goes on and I add to his Retinue and Story; no doubt a more Radical shift will come. After all, many Inquisitors start off idealistic, before succumbing to the ways of the Radical I find.
