On this model I've tried a little freehand and some OSL work.
I'm still a bit clumsy, obviously.

Incredible! I love the effect you've done on the front of his robes/long coat. Is it based on existing artwork or did you make it up?
Great work on the OSL too, it came out really well!
It's based on existing artwork from the computer game The Secret World (no re-released as Secret World Legends).
I quite enjoy the game, and find the atmosphere makes me think of Inquisitor in a number of ways, so I really wanted to borrow back in the other direction.
I'm really glad the OSL came out well, as it's my first time really trying it properly.
Great stuff mate. Your stuff just gets better and better!! It's nice to see someone is still plugging away with 54mm models. It's been a bit quite from the rest of the crowd (me included!).
I'm just plugging away at models full stop.
For example, last night after collecting my club polo shirt (so I can represent my club at events), I spent probably about half an hour or so rebasing a set of frostgrave/perry minis for use in mordheim/frostgrave on a set of plastic paved square bass, and then the rest of the evening pulling out every unprimed model in my Specialist Games (28mm) carry case, and rectifying that issue.
That's about... 40-50 minis in the space of... 2 hours?
I've still got tons of things left to paint (and at least three very very big models left to build) just from GW alone, never mind other ranges.
I have a long hobby road to travel yet, so expect plenty more in the future (both in 28mm and 54mm scales). ;)
That is awesome. Love the coat and his daemonic hammer thingyamjiggy is brilliant. Lovely work man
Thanks!
This is probably going to be my most visually technical piece for a while, as the next few don't have nearly as many glowy bits, or need freehand in the same way.
My next bit, painting wise, is a pilot, with a very simple base (assuming I kick myself into gear to get it painted).
After that, it's fairly open-ended.
