Welcome back to the conclave.

Good collection with lots of imagination - stritzke is my favourite but the rogue trade band has a good naval feel to it.

Very nive collction. Picking favorites I'd say Vernik, Jancke and Vlastos. Renner and Marteau are particularly good too.

What are Vlastos' arms and her laspistol made from?

I like your aliens too, and the tech they have.

I have never actually thought of using the Ork Mega armour for Inquisitor.
It works perfectly for Squats, very inspired choice mate. :D

thanks for the compliments guys,
@ cade: Vlastos's arms are spacemarine terminator arms, lengenthed above the elbows and her laspistol is a 40k cadian lasgun
@Discy: the body is ghasgkul's, i think it works better than the normal nob in mega armour as it isnt squat enough imo

some more models:
My bloodletter (made from Azaroth the fallen one by heresy, with lengthened legs to make him bigger)

I really like the puritan warband - especially the arco-berserker and preacher.  There's some very nice dynamic poses in there - such as the ones with one foot up on a crate, and there's some impressive work gone into that third thug.  Nice work  :)

A fine collection. I take it that it represents a significant period of time? (the technique and skill level displayed varies immensely.)

I really like the third thug too. I think that it would look better if you did some more work on the eyes though. My favourite has to be guardsman Vernik.

thanks for the compliments,
Ive been collecting for about 3 years now, renner is my most recent model, the recongregator ad rogue trader warbands were my first.
unfortunately i just cant get eyes to look right, always too starey, but i shall have to start trying again, practice makes perfect.

Hi everyone,
got some more models painted over the past few while and its finally been sunny enough outside to take (almost) decent pictures :)

First up is Inquisitor Asche, Ordo Hereticus and the leader of my witch hunter warband:

and with trooper Renner from my witch hunter warband;

next is Hes Sadatu, bounty hunter
(http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn34/rourke_album/SDC11207.jpg)

Uttaal, Reptillian alien mercenary
(http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn34/rourke_album/SDC11204.jpg)

Finally, Bakab, Mutant swordsman with deamon sword:

Very nice! Inquisitor Asche is amazing, really characterful - definitely my favourite model in this thread. Great attention to detail on him too. Not got much else to say, but I couldn't help but comment on such a striking miniture.

Am I right in thinking that the reptillian merc is based on those Halo figures that someone found a few months ago?
That's some nice new stuff for your collection tho.

what other models do you have planned for the witch hunters? asche looks fantastic as does his comrade, looking forward to the next member

thanks for the comments guys,
the reptillian is based around the halo models yea, with a GS tail and head, the mouth is from a tyranid warrior,
for the witch-hunters i want to make a penitent psyker,
does anyone knows where to get any good naked/blank 54mm models?
thanks

Any chance of a better shot of the Chaos Marine's head and torso?
Is that a scratch-modeled helmet or something ripped from another model?

I love Inquisitor Asche. He seems to be the epitome of a meticulous-study-then-burny-time witch-hunter to me, holding out the charges against his quarry while aiming a laspistol at their face.

I'm in love with Ryle's flamer.

I remember your models from the last Conclave and it's great to see them again. Great use of Ork bits all around.  How big are the Dren and Dealer models though?  If I'm placing them correctly they both look to be LotR pieces.  And could we get a back shot of that hulking Mutant?  What model is he based on, I want to say it's from ogre kingdoms but I could easily be wrong.
Title: Re: Rourke's minis (pic Heavy)
Post by: rourke on April 19, 2010, 12:28:24 PM
thanks again for the compliments guys:)
@thenephew: the csm face is artemis' head filled down and a GS mask and horns sculpted on.
@Alyster wick: i use Ryles weapon as an imperial weaker version of a xenarch death-arc, i imagine it works something like the gun used in the ship in the first matrix.
yea, the dealer and the dren are wormtounge and a ringwraith, theyre 54mm and work well with the inq range. they came with a magazine collection a few years back
the mutant is an ogre model from Heresy Miniatures, hes a bit shorter than most people but he is crouched over. his dreadlocks are GS.

ill try and get some better pictures when im at home this weekend

here is a better picture of my csm's face mask:

and a picture of the mutants back, i added the chain, gun and the hair.

also got a pic of a fire deamon, used to represent simpler, cruder deamons.

ive also got a few pictures of some of the terrain ive made for inq, its mostly underhive themed.
ill get some "action" shots tomorrow

Your scenery looks fantastic.

What bits/kits are the cultist models made out of? They look great.

thanks for the compliments about the scenery, i built most of it last summer, out of just about anything i could find lol. broken electronics are great!

forgot to add these pics of the cultists, theyre made out of the "gladiator" russian kit, same manufacturer as the "insurgents" with GS cowls and robes, some have skaven hands and weapons.
they got a pretty quick paintjob cos i needed them for a game

Ah amazing! That had never occurred to me to use those russian models in that way. Good job, they look ace. I've got a feeling we'll start to see more and more of those models creeping onto the forum now...

Well, you could say that they were a little bit rough and ready, but damn, are they ever imaginative and characterful. Great job there.
