Clearly an April fools joke but i like that they spent time doing this shows the company have a fun side

Apparently its already been posted on warseer and i was mega late noticing it but i thought it was a nice touch of humour compared to the the normal gw doom and gloom we have on here

Heroka Vendile

last years was a multi-chambered spray gun that in a single spray turned a model from bare plastic to 'Eavy Metal quality paintjob.

i dont remember seeing that but i like this its nice to see something amusing from gw rather than all the scary stopping production and cutting down the sg range rumors we have heard recently on the forum

Perhaps if they spent less time being "funny" and more time on ]I[nquisitor?
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

now ancelyn them spending anytime on inquisitor is about as far fetched as me travelling to the moon, Inquisitor is a bust as far as GW are concerned it has a few die hard fans that ocassionaly attract one or 2 more people a year, there happy for people to play it and there happy to cast models from the molds that they currently have but once there ruined they wont invest money in new molds and they sure as hell wont invest money in creating any new miniatures. No GW has essentially said that if people want to play inquisitor thats fine but they will do so with next to no support from the company that created it.

And given how poor some of the recent 40k codices are and the fact that the quality of  support for 40k in WD has also been poor, I for one am pretty happy that GW no longer affords the same 'support' to Inquisitor.

The FFG RPGs provide more than enough excellent inspiration for background and rules, plenty of manufacturers supply fantastic models, and the community (through DM, the 'Clave and other forums, etc) provide pretty much everything else I want in way of support. It'd be nice if GW released (or re-released) some more models, but other than that I'm happier that GW ignore us.
I like to remember things my own way... Not necessarily the way they happened.

I'm perfectly happy for GW to just ignore us as they seem to be currently doing - Inquisitor isn't the kind of game that needs (or wants) the kind of rules development GW are currently inclined to give. I've given my laments on them not keeping the old material on their site, but it's not killed us.

Heck, I've actually got more articles in the Archive than the Specialist Games site had at any one time (either PDFs they removed, or Exterminatus articles that never made it into PDFs), and I wouldn't've tracked all those things down if they hadn't axed the site.

Models-wise, GW hasn't released a new Inquisitor model in five years, and they've even taken several things out of the range. Yet, how often do we still hear phrases like "Another fantastic combination I've not seen before" or "I wish I'd thought of that" in the P&M section?

And that's even without considering other manufacturers. I would love to see things like the weapons and hands packs back, but we're not exactly dead here either. And like above, if they hadn't done it, I probably wouldn't have learned to sculpt.

Actually, without all the "setbacks" they've imposed, I might never have even joined the forums. And I imagine there are a few others here who owe a certain amount of their attendance to the fact they wanted to know "What happened to all the articles", "Where did this model go?" or "Does anyone actually still play Inquisitor?". And as we all turn up at Nottingham in force every now and again, the extra numbers may actually make Inquisitor look stronger to GW than it would have done otherwise.

It's a very Istvaanian thing to say, but Inquisitor is showing a great deal of strength through adversity, and may be stronger than if GW had carried on as before.
And provided that they don't actually stop us playing at WHW (which wouldn't exactly stop us either), I would be quite content for all to continue as it is.
S.Sgt Silva Birgen: "Good evening, we're here from the Adeptus Defenestratus."
Captain L. Rollin: "Nonsense. Never heard of it."
Birgen: "Pick a window. I'll demonstrate".

As Dave said I'd like to see some minis re-released or if they sold the licence to another producer to bring some of the old minis back onto the market (Such as citizens)
This here is my very favourite gun...I call her rita.

i like marco's point of view that the community has carried on in spite of gw's lack of commitment to it, and we have and his right a lot of people are head because they have no other place to go for the inq needs

Eladar

About the size of the community:

I have only just got into inquisitor (by that, I haven't even played a real game yet, just learnt the basics and got my character), and already have got someone else interested in starting.

The community might not be the size of 40k or those sorts of games, but surely it's at least worth releasing a new model once every year or two? I'm sure there'd be plenty of people waiting to snatch them all up.

Heroka Vendile

Not really, the creative process from start-to-finish of designing and releasing a new model isn't cheap - especially creating new moulds and GW won't do it unless there's a guarantied return on investment. With the way tin prices are sky-rocketing lately they want to avoid metal models as much as possible and they wouldn't put any new plastic development into the SGs when there's so much that still needs converted from metal into plastic in the 40k & WFB lines.

There is one thing that I think GW should change (appart from bringing back models). When I was in Aberdeen, at the GW store, they did not allow me to do a small demo of inquisitor  :'(, even using 40K figures (commissar, kroot, ethereal, ork, storm trooper, scout and pathfinder)

Nothing to do with me, honest!

I ran into this problem a few years ago, after finishing my second warband. (Which was about the time I started GMing between myself and friends.) I had turned up at the store with my inq. warbands in my carry-case, and when a person I had arranged to play a game with saw them, they sounded interested in giving Inquisitor a try. I asked permission before going ahead any further, purely out of good manners. However, about halfway through the game, some of the more senior members of staff descended upon us like vultures on a freshly fallen wildebeest.

You should have given me a shout, if you were up here looking for a game. :P
"Somehow, Inquisitor, when you say 'with all due respect,' I don't think that you mean any respect at all."

"I disagree, governor. I think I am giving you all of the respect that you are due..."
