Thorian Subfaction concept - the "Pantheists"

I had a concept for a more radical offshoot of the Thorian faction, and thought I'd post it up

While most Thorians believe that Thor and other saints are in some way the Emperor manifesting His divine spirit in a human, the Pantheists believe that these saints are in fact independently powerful, who are or would be on their way to ascension. The Emperor helps those who are pure of heart and faithful, and tries to lift up other humans to be gods like him, but mankind is still too primitive. The Pantheists behave much as other Thorians, observing possible "Divine Vessels" (which Pantheists call "Potentials"), but have a stronger interest in the egotistical, the self-made man, those who are born outside of the Emperor's light, worshipping other gods or no god at all. If they can find (or manufacture) a Potential from these, then they will show that it is not humanity's future to be at the feet of the Emperor, as they are now, but his equals, the Nu-men.

Has someone been reading Spinoza recently? :p

Sounds fine to me; would fit in quite well with the Illuminati, who want to bring a new Emperor about in the form of the Star Child, and look for Sensei, who they can use to power up this new god. Or at least on one reading of the often-contradictory fluff in that area...

No actually! The Illuminatus Trilogy instead, though yes, the name is taken from the religious/philosophical/theological theory, though the concept is mostly mysticism/LaVey style Satanism/Discordian myths.
