Another great character, the model looks very good and the rifle seems like a natural fit. About the background, perhaps you could add in a bit more about him developing skills at hiding, but overal it is great, I also really like that he lost everything because of Imperial fanatics while he himself is almost one.

Thanks, Dolnikan!

You're absolutely right, though: Not exploring his hiding skills was a bit of a wasted opportunity. However, I imagine that could be easily rectified by adding a couple of lines to his fluff: Maybe he started exploring parts of the underhive in his free time and started to enjoy hiding and being able to eavesdrop on people that, were they to see him in broad "daylight", would find him repulsive . And maybe his aptitude at hiding himself was what saved him from the Redemptionists?

Come to think about it, his joy at hiding could also be another symptom of his latent self-hatred...anyway, just another great direction in which to further develop the character  ;)

I just couldn't help myself, I hard to start getting some paint on the brothers today. I painted just the little one for now, though. I'll have to get some new Chaos Black spray before I can tackle the bigger brother  :D

Here's how everything started:

That's just the base colours without any washes or accents.

Then I turned my attention to the howdah:

Just had to add that bunny...  :D

Please excuse my dirty fingers, btw. I hit myself with the spraycan while laying down the undercoat, and even the use of nail polish remover didn't completely get rid of all the black  :D

Here's the little brother, attached to the paint pot of doom:

A closer look at his bow tie:

And finally, in his "seat of power":

I managed to scrape off all the thumbmarks from his hat. I also rather like the somewhat coarse structure of the hat and even gave it a small highlight to show how threadbare it is  :D

Anyway, that's the little brother. Let me know what you think!

Trasher

One word: AWESOME!

What about magnetizing the little one and putting him on a base of his own when his big brother dies?

Thanks, Trasher!

I love the idea of him being usable on his own, although a couple of guys over at the Ammobunker have voiced their concern that actually playing the brothers as separate characters might end up as a bit of a hassle. They probably have a point  ;D

In any case, I definitely won't attach the small brother to the howdah permanently - a piece of putty is holding him in position atm, although I may indeed have to look into magnetising him, as you say.

Shannow

Looking good:)

I think they should have contrasting skin colour, with big brother maybe a darker heavier tone perhaps?
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Time to die.

KrautScientist

Hmm, an interesting idea, Shannow  :) Although I may have to use the model's skin colour to tie it together with the little brother, seeing as they don't look a bit like each other  ;D So the same skin colour would give them a common attribute. Hmm,...decisions, decisions...

Truly amazing, he looks very good. He's such a stylish fellow.

KrautScientist

Haha, he is, isn't he? The snappiest dresser in the underhive  ;D

Thanks for the kind words, Dolnikan!

Alright, everyone, look who finally arrived on my paint pot of doom today:  :D

Waiting for the washes to dry atm. After that, there'll be lot of weathering, accents and details to add. Wont't be long now, though  :)

And just a short while later, here we are:

a detail view of his (t)rusty gauntlet

There's still a couple of touchups to be done, but you get the picture.

And here's a couple of shots of the brothers together:

Let me know what you think! C&C very welcome!

Zakkeg

... Damn it all to hell.

On the one hand, I am now and ever shall be philosophically opposed to Inq28.

On the other hand, this isreally really good.

Dolnikan

It is a great model, the paint only makes it look a lot better than it already did, wonderfully done!

Inquisitor Goldeneye

I'm not usually very interested in Inq. 28, but these models show a level of skill which cannot be ignored! Fantastic miniatures! Keep up the good work!
