As Marco says, 1/32 is more like the right scale, but even then the heroic proportions of the GW range means that they can look small. 1/35 figures will be very small, but they might work as adolescents. However, if you're just looking for cheap models there are far better options out there.

Fair enough I Will look at 1:32 scale

To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

Anyone got a suggestion to where one might pick up some 54mm (or thereabouts...) oil drums at a reasonable price? I've surfed the net for a while, but I'm having a spot of bother with finding any in the right seize....

Try the Tamiya 1/35 Fuel Drum set. About £6 for half a dozen drums and over a dozen jerry cans.

Tehnolog do a plastic set - I have one if you are interested - but only the one, of 5 figures, so lots of converting needed.

Tamiya and another Japanese maker did them in 1/35th kits many moons ago, and whilst I gave mine away I could get them back as the guy who took them hasn't done anything with them! But they are definitely 1/35th not 1/32nd.

if you can get your hands on them, the Playmobile oil drums are a perfect size for Inquisitor at about an inch tall.
It's all fun and games until someone shoots their own guy with a Graviton gun instead of the MASSIVE SPIDER.

They're available on eBay - pretty cheap too.

The playmobile drums seems better than the tamiya ones, though I can't find any UK based sellers, they're all yanks.
I think I'll do a mix if I can find any seller who has a considerable bulk of them, otherwise I'd just be paying postage- and custom-fees for nothing...I don't think my poor wallet can repel bummer of that magnitude.

I didn't know you ran a terrain log Kaled, any pointers for good accessories to scatter about on the battlefield? I've been looking at this site for a while now, and I think there might be some stuff there worth looking at: http://www.classictoysoldiers.com/cgi-bin/ctsc6/rtl/cat_dsply.cgi?cat_id=000028&Category=54mm%20Toy%20Soldiers
I'm not really that much of a builder myself, but I'm thinking a few of the adobe buildings would be easy to make a bit more grimdark with a few bits and bobs.

I bought a load of barrels from Hobbycraft plus the Tamiya fuel cans and the hay bales, which I turned into crates. I also have some 28mm accessories which work pretty well - but it's all in that blog. Brother Brimstone has some nice terrain that's mostly built from junk, bits of pipe and cheap toys - well worth a look as it's a good demonstration of putting together great looking terrain for minimal cost.

Playmobile sell most of their stuff direct from their website. Fast, efficient mail order service from my experience in the UK and often cheaper than the shop prices!

Welcome to The Conclave!

(The big yellow welcome is traditional.) Why not start a thread in the Community Announcements sub-forum and introduce yourself properly? I'm sure we'd all like to hear about your Inquisitor experience- are you just getting started or have you been playing for a while?

That's good to know about the Playmobil website? Has anyone browsed through it? What other useful stuff do they sell? I think in the past someone has mentioned using their ladders,,.
