That was exactly the episode I was thinking about when I made the reference :D

Brilliant! Looking forward to seeing it :) Man, I miss being able to watch Futurama.

go for blue jeans for Fry; a subtle nod to his inspiration and i'd like to see how you do faded jeans :)
i make no apologies, i warned you my ability to roll ones was infectious...

Relegated to the second page?  :o CAN'T HAVE THAT!!!

Well, Sh!t just got serious! I've been tinkering around with a whole warband for around about a year and I finally have all the parts to proceed with my little band of Merry Assassins and desperadoes. First up is....

Gravier BRASK: Inquisitorial Agent, Investigator and general finder of bad and naughty people. Based on a few models but I'm sure you know the parts. His pose is a little 'off' but he will be walking down some stairs (which makes the pose work).

Next up is....

Annabelle Orphea: Inquisitorial Agent and operative. She specialises in stealth missions and generally being freaking deadly. Still seriously WIP but I sculpted a face AND I LIKE IT!!! (mostly).

She will eventually end up looking similar to this picture...

You may remember I tried to do this model before but, in fairness, I didn't like the conversion I did so I'm starting again. Yay!

realitybytes16

Personally I thought that conversion was awesome, but eh, it's your mini :).

That face looks amazing. Excellent work. I can place most of the parts but where are Gravier's arms from? Von Castellan is it?

Lord Borak

I did too but the sculpting was a bit rough and when I started to paint the face up the roughness of the Green stuff really showed. So I ditched it :S

Thanks though, glad you like the MK2 version. Looking at her now I think her eyes might be a touch too big. The Head-hood thing is done now. She looks like some kind of super hero at the moment 0.o.

Think I should stick with the high heels or do boots like the picture?

realitybytes16

Depends on the character I suppose,

If you think she's going to be a pragmatist then boots, if you think she might just be a little bit frivolous (or you just want to save yourself work) then heels.

Lord Borak

Boots it is then. She's a no nonsense kinda girl (think Black Widow). I'm also going to ditch the sword in favour of another pistol. Because what's better than one large calibre pistol? Two large Calibre pistols!!

The NorthStar model isn't going to go to waste though. She will live on as the base model for my Sister of Battle :)

mcjomar

I'm liking the looks of this. Pity the mass effect mini didn't make the cut though.

Lord Borak

A little update, nothing massive as I'm just not getting enough  time to concentrate on sculpting. Just the head gear, hair and the little visor/sight thing is done. It was quite hard discerning what was actually going on with the gunsights in the picture so a bit of artistic licence was used!!

Looking at her face now, I think her nose is a little 'blunt' so I might re-do the tip of her nose. We'll see. I'm going to ditch the sword in favour of having two pistols. Because two pistols is cooler, although It does mean I need to make two Holsters instead of the one!

Well, Next up is the details on the belt, the holsters and then I'll get cracking on the arms.

mcjomar

That's some fantastic sculpting work. Thinking about it I sort of agree on the nose. Maybe.

Bring out your Haywire grenades!! Skynet is here!!!!

Radu Lykan

Needs more skulls lol

I like the red on the hounds as it's a "danger" colour and the skulls look good with the odd sprinkling of hazard stripes, what warband/character are they all attached to?

Charax

personally I would have remodelled the mastiffs so they looked distinct - maybe a back-mounted gun on one, a sensor array on another, just to give them some personality.

Love the idea of a warband of drones though
(No longer} The guy with his name at the bottom of the page

Lord Borak

Radu: These are just meant as NPCs so no plans to add them into a warband as yet. Just something to maybe go with my Mechanicum as 'guards' on their fuel refinery :D I need to do a picture of them with the bit Robot and the Mechanicum models. Hmm, thinking about it I should put some freehand cog patterns on the mastiffs.

Charax: Aye, that's true. I'm (eventually) going to do a Witch Hunter who only uses Arco-flagellants, Servo skulls and Mastiffs as he/she trusts no fallible human by his/her side. I had planned doing a Mastiff type with a gun for a head and a few Servo Skulls with Web pistols. That's a distant project though, even if I have all the models and parts ready to go. I find it very hard to hack up original Inquisitor models.

TallulahBelle

Dang man, i drop out of sight for a while and come back o amazing work that makes me feel like my work and models aren't up to standards set by the community. The models im proud of are others sculpting and it feels like cheating.

I love the marines and the guard dogs and servo skulls seriously worry me.

I love the simple cohesive paintjob and basing choices.
