Greetings,

You can now sign-up to participate in the 6th Annual- Airspace Online Campaign.  This campaign is open to any games played in the Warhammer 40K universe.  Click the banner below to get you to the sign-up page.

Far on the Eastern Fringe, the Old Guard Stars border WIlderspace.  The Furor Imperialis Crusade stretches across the sector towards the ends of the Imperium of Man.  Their mission is to rid this distant outpost of mankind of the xeno, the renegade, and the heretic.  The Grex Silex system is a blight on the Emperor's Glory and a boil that will need to be lanced.  However, the xeno, the heretic, and the renegade are not so willing to give up their hold within the Old Guard Stars.

This campaign is open to any players of games set in the Warhammer 40K system.  That includes:
Warhammer 40K- Any edition
Warhammer 40K: Apocalypse- Any version
Epic- Any version
Inquisitor- 28mm or 54mm
Necromunda/Gorkamorka- Any version
Aeronautica Imperialis
Battlefleet Gothic

This campaign includes all the existing factions and then some!  In addition, you score points by buying, painting, converting, and playing games so no matter what part of the hobby you are participate in, there is something you can contribute to the campaign!

If you play one of those systems, then this campaign has a place for you!

Some folks have been asking how this all works.  They are especially unsure of how the Specialist games work into it.  It is very easy.

I played a game of Necromunda the other day.  This is the minimum information I need to supply to score points:

Cawdor (Imperials) vs. Delaque (Tau aligned)
Cawdor Won
Warzone 1

If you put that in the Grex Silex campaign Batrep thread on the Airspace Forum, you will score 10 points for the Imperials and 2 points for the Tau in Warzone 1.  That's it!

However, if you want even more points, you can post up a picture and a short narrative of the battle that might look more like this:

Cawdor (Imperials) vs. Delaque (Tau)
Cawdor win in Warzone: 1

Pritchard wanted revenge on those Delque scum.  Everyone knew they had been dealing with those xeno sympathizers, running them hooch and creds through their network.  That wasn't why he wanted to grab the loot before them though.  Ever since they had shot him in the hand, he couldn't make the sign of the Aquila properly anymore.  More than anything, he wanted them to pay for that.

He had heard that the xeno sympathizers had left some loot deep in the bowels of the Geld Tower in the Cliffs of Avalohn.  The Delaque were supposed to just wander in an pick it up, but the Aquila's Claws had been waiting ever since the loot got dropped.  The cawdor gangers rushed to take covering positions, and made sure any approach to the loot would be costly.  Then, the Juvies moved up led by their minder.

As the Delaque raced forward, they were leery of the Heavy; Robertson covering the platform their loot had been left on.  This gave the Juvies time to clamber up and grab it first.  Sure a few of them got shot down for their trouble, but there were always more dedicated Juvies where they came from.  Plus, some of them might even have the Emperor's Grace and make it back to the hide-out.

Duke and the rest of the lads managed to snag the loot and fade back into the warren of tunnels, catwalks and debris.  The Delaque traitors had been denied their treasure this time, and that made Pritchard smile.

Now, since this one had a picture and a bit of narrative it will earn the Imperials 16 points in Warzone 1 while the Tau will only get 2 points.  Of course, those Delaque are free to post up their own version of events to score more points too.

That's just how easy it can be to score points in the Campaign.  Since most of us are going to be playing some games between Sept. 1st  and Nov. 30th anyway, you might as well join in on the Cleansing of Grex Silex Campaign fun!

Some people have been asking about how to update for painting.  Here is a sample post from last year's campaign:

Quote
Finally had time to paint up some planes! 6 Phoenixes and a Vampire Raider.

These will be joining the ones I had already painted up. Points to Warzone 5 please.

A simple post on the Airspace Forums in the Batrep and Hobby thread for the campaign is all it takes.  Click the banner in my Sig to get to the campaign page.

I'm hoping to get some cool Inquisitor models to show off in the campaign updates!  :)
