Hi again, thought i'd make my first real post on teh conclave a picture post so i can introduce y'all to my warband. Really rather excited actually as it's the first time i own all the models for a 'proper' warband (by that i mean it doesn't include a WS100+ frostblade weilding eldar and a wraithguard 0_o).

Unfortunatelly all my models are at Robskib's house so I only have pictures of my warband's leader, Captain Caleco Decimidius, at hand. And yes i know he has a rather striking resemblance to a certain hollywood actor but he's my favorite model and deff. the best one i've painted so he's just going to have to stay that way till i get good with greenstuff. At which point he'll probably accidentally loose his eye and require a bionic one =]

So without further ado here are the pictures (more will be added soon as i get back to Robskibs):

Welcome to the Conclave! (traditional)

That's a very small conversion really, but works excellently. Nice paintjob too, can't wait to see more. :)

Accidentally lose in eye in a tragic power sword incident while drunk?

Nice model by the way.  I'm impressed.
^Cheapskate^

Warmenhoven

hahah yea the power sword may be involved =]

Thanks for the comments and the BYW, i've uploaded the rest of the guys now so you can take a gander. Elyana and Iyanda still need to be converted and are quite a long way off completion but hopefull they'll be put up sometime in the future.

The photography is absolutely stellar. Kudos to whoever took those photos :3

The models and painting skills are up there too. Very nice work, and some great ideas.

lol Rob. Thanks for taking them tho, really much apreciated =] and thanks for the comments as well!

Really nice simple but very effective conversions.

They could do with maybe some bionics here or there, a few more aquilla, purity seals and =][= symbols, that'd make them perfect, as it is, they are very nice.

Simeon Blackstar

Lovely warband - conversions look quite simple, but they all have fantastic character and are well enough into the 41st millenium for my liking!

spikeyjoey

simple conversion?

I was going to ask if most of them were even made using existing =I= models!!

(especially the second guy in the kilt)

I made my comment before he'd updated the OP with the other pictures, I was referring to the top pic - which is a simple but effective swap of the right arm for the Thorian Inquisitors right arm. The top two and bottom one are conversions of Andrea models if I'm not much mistaken, the other two being a mix of INQ and 40k parts.

Archie looks very good actually - the simple addition of a metal shoulderpad makes all the difference...

They are indeed from andrea (unless my memory has completely failed me) and the sholder plate was Robskibs brainchild (he always says if you need something to look 40K just stick a huge sholder pad on =] ).

Speaking of 40King models, have any of you got an idea how I could make Jacob look a bit more grim dark because atm he's a verry clean looking model and i'm not sure he exactly fits in the universe.

Thanks for all the comments as well, apreciate them.

Knee pads & shoulder pads (big and preferably mismatched), loads of extra gubbins which may have no discernible use, chains/straps with said things hanging off them, BIG boots and basically any clothing which is more complex than it needs to be.

Those things are generally a good start.
S.Sgt Silva Birgen: "Good evening, we're here from the Adeptus Defenestratus."
Captain L. Rollin: "Nonsense. Never heard of it."
Birgen: "Pick a window. I'll demonstrate".

a boot knife would be a good addition to Jacob - in a way you're limited in space with what you can add because of that cloak, maybe a pouch or two or some sort of knick-knack/trophy hanging on his belt?
