Some of the older 'clavers may remember Machelor's PC Kassadar:

I have taken it upon myself to update and alter the model a bit to move it away from WoW's Arthas and towards its own narrative (as was intended back in the days when Mike and I used to have free time to play INQ).
This log will chronicle my return to 54mm (and the hobby at large).
Camera battery dead atm, expect a decent WIP update tomorrow.
cheers
Adam
Wow that guy does look *very* fantasy. Interested to see where you go with this. You going to strip him down, lr just work on the existing model?
Also, good to hear you're rejoining the ranks of the corrupted converted.
-A.
its not really my style to strip models down... rather i work into and onto them. i'm going to try to get around the fantasy feel with paint and accessories. we'll see how it goes!
I daresay all you'll need are a couple of firearms, some aquillas, a few bionics and some tubing.

you've seen my minis before...
no aquilas though. this guy is not a nice chap.
Exhaust on his pack for an archaic steam powered armoured suit, with pistons modelled between his joints! And rather fittingly, perhaps one of the gas masks that Gav may be casting from the competition. Have to say I'm a big steam punk fan and I believe it has its place in the 41st millennium (tough with restraint sadly).

Ditto. With the right touches he could have a great (but chaotic?) Lord Solar Macharius (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1140060) vibe.
you may have just solved my colour scheme issues...
ok so the last couple of days have been rather more filled with fixing up my car and look for a battery charger for my camera than I would have liked so progress is somewhat limited.
here we go:

Back (http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc305/AdamCunis/Inquisitor/DSC00716.jpg)
I'm going to sort out the right wrist a bit so that it looks more natural, although I think its ok as he could passably be holding it as it smokes as if he's just fired the gun.
I have also been working on this:

some sort of Dark Eldar guy. got a bit of a back story brewing for him but pics will have to do for now. weapon etc is just for the idea of a pose and is not final as the arms look awkward and unnatural atm.
thoughts?
cheers
Adam
The new hair looks great on Kassadar though I have mixed feelings on the pistol positioning. It definitely looks unnatural though it has the appearance that he's just fired, shifted his hand slightly to view his target and then decided to take a moment to contemplate the thing he just destroyed (kind of a "she fell funny" moment a la The Departed).
I'm really, REALLY liking the dark eldar model. There are so painfully few inventive DE models out there despite the world of possibilities. The army has so much character but so many worthless units that are just begging to be given consideration in the context of Inquisitor. Very interested to hear the backstory.
You know, I still need to see the Departed... but I know what you mean.
The Eldar guy needs a bit more patience and some greenstuff. I got fed up of him a couple of days ago cos I'm out of practice and its going to be a fiddly job. I quite like the simplicity of it myself, nice and menacing and not at all like my usual work.
Kassadar has met with Mike's approval (he was away and I was bored so hacked up his models rather than my own...) so I'll get some paint on him (after having a think about the wrist) in the coming days (weeks?).
so... as usual I got distracted.
Firstly by finding a box of guard and another of chaosy bits that inspired me to do a traitor guard army...
and secondly by a commission:

I've got one more to do but its made me pick up a paintbrush and remember that i really enjoy it. expect updates within the next century :P
Adam
Hey, Adam. I heard your name mentioned on the Meeples & Miniatures podcast the other day. At least, I can't imagine there's another "very tall bloke called Adam playing Inquisitor at Warhammer World".
R.
well, thats odd cos i certainly havent been to warhammer world in aaaages. at least a year.
OT erm... done some GS on the DE guy. am now back at uni so expect some progress at some point.
