These are a few projects I've been working on and since I'm making steady progress I thought I might as well post up a few pictures.
The first as a generic daemon I've been making based on some artwork I found years ago.

I've also been working on my own version of a space marine. It's my attempt at a scale miniature, not the usual heroically models so it's a fair bit different to Artemis. I haven't got too far with at the moment, only started recently but I've got him next to a very simple sanctioned psyker conversion using an ordinary 54mm figure.

The marine is seven feet tall so as you can see he's a lot taller than the psyker but not gargantuan. The chest isn't quite as depp as it seems, there's a lot of shadow on that picture and other than the lower half of his face his head is basically just a sausage of green stuff which is why it looks odd.
I love that psyker! Have we seen him before? If not, more of this! I'd like to say the daemon thing is shaping up, but I don't know what it's shaping into! Do you have the artwork you're basing this off?
The psyker is new, I haven't posted him before. I bought a box of German soldiers (it was only £12 for five so I treated myself) and I looked at the officer and just thought, he'd make a great psyker with almost no effort. I'm thinking of making a sash to keep him in line with the 40K sanctioned psykers and then he's finished.
Here's the picture I'm working from for the daemon:

Knew I'd seen that pose and mouth somewhere before... That one is going to be damn scary.
I was thinking of doing something more human, like a Slayer from The Suffering but the bird head is just too good not to do. Although after I got the beak on it was like having a little baby bird in my hand, ahh :-[
That picture is hella creepy - should turn into a great piece!
Out of interest, where did you get the German soldiers? At £12 for 5 it sounds like a ready-made Imperial Guard goon squad.
I got them from HobbyCraft. It was a Tamiya German Field Commanders Set.
Thanks for that. The kit looks very useful.
