Title: Eolith Dracula Redux...
Post by: steveb on December 06, 2010, 10:15:25 PM
Just letting you know that I've just put an updated version of my 54mm Dracula up for pre-order on Eolith Miniatures.

New head, hand, feet, trousers, jacket and base, plus a few other details.

Two pieces. Dracula himself and a resin base.

Excellent - I need a new Rouge Trader, so my order will be in shortly. I can heartily recommend both Mr Buddle's models and service to those who have yet to sample Eolith.

Does that get me a discount now?  ;)

Thank you Flinty.

And Viper, he is 56mm from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head.

I like the change to the jacket, although that is the only actual change I can readily spot when comparing it with my my currently unused original version.

To be fair, that would probably work fine for a Rogue Trader anyway.
Afterall, "Do you have a flag?"  ;)

Easier to play spot the difference with a direct comparison :)

wow Steve! I always liked the old Dracula model but the face on the new version is incredible. I like the new embroidery on the chest as well.

Most shiny.

I liked the plainer chest but I agree with Adam that the new face, raised collar and all, is extremely impressive.

Blaaah! [/dracula impression]

I wish I'd waited to pick one of these up :( Keep us up to date on any new releases Steve! If it's anything like this, you can put me down for a pre-order!

Casters have come through quickly and Dracula is now in stock for immediate shipping along with restocks of Lady Grigoryan and Rose. Perfect time to buy, especially as I have a casting bill to pay and my heating bills have gone through the roof (plus I have to eat).

Is the Old Dracula still availible as well? I have one of the old ones already used in a conversion, and now I think I may have a cunning plan for one of the new and one of the old.

No, the old one is now an ex-mini. He has been consigned to a garlic-soaked coffin beneath an ice lake and warned that if he comes out Stephanie Meyer will write a book about him and ruin his rep forever. But there's a nice shiny new one that is loads better instead.

I've just noticed he's got a new, more kingly looking base as well.  It's surprising how much these small details can improve a model.
