on sunday, a friend from my local wargaming club gave me an inqisitor eisenhorn and the rulebook for free :oas he had no use for them! So, at long last octavian lars is in assembly, slight changes were made to his wargear and then, as soon as my friend gets slick/bloodhound i can finish him, will post pics ASAP (i.e. if i can get hold of the camera) ::)
So, how do you plan to convert him?
I plan to remove the scabbard from the left arm and replace it with a revolver, i have already removedd the deueling pistol from the holster and i plan to use Damien loodhound's head as his
The photos of his assemby using only eisenhorn's parts have been taken. just waiting for my dad to get back from aberdeen this afternoon to upload them.
I remember Arbitrator Bob has/had an Inquisitor with Eisenhorn's body and Slick's head. He sculpted a beard onto the head, which looked absolutely brilliant.

Also, i plan to use green stuff to create a scabard to replace the one i am going to remove.
My previous experience is that greenstuff isn't good for making that kind of shape - it's difficult to get the straight lines of weapons and scabbards in GS (or indeed, most putties), so I'd recommend you use something like plasticard instead.
sorry marko already done it before your post came up, it is now in the place where the rune staff goes, i also plan to use the rs skull as a servo skull with autopistol
BIT OF A HITCH I tried to upload the photos onto the site, but i don't have photobucket etc. so it wouldn't work. my dad is going to try to find an alternative for me. if any of you have ideas (without photosites as i am not allowed) plz post here
Dare I ask why you're "not allowed" to use an image-hosting site like Photobucket? There are lots of other similar sites, but I think that's by far and away the best managed and most child-friendly.
I suppose an alternative would be to have a blogger.com or WordPress account, post them there and put links in your posts (I wouldn't recommend hot-linking from those as the bandwidth on the free accounts is pretty limited).
R.
i will mention it to my parents and come to an agreement tomorow, thanks. untill then i will manage
I have the go ahead for photo bucket ;D, lots of pics methinks
Photobucket set up (pics might be locked though)

Your pictures are either a bit off-centre, or your links are broken. To make images appear on the forum, use the IMG tags around the links, like so;

Press the 'quote' button in the top right of my post to see what code I used to make that happen.
Do you have any other pictures? All I can see is a front shot of Eisenhorn's legs (which I think most of us know what they look like already :P) and a side shot of the finished model, but I can't make out any of the details... More photos please! :)
PS: your avatar is broken, you might have to check the link

There we go!
I like the eisenhorn conversion, I don't think I've seen Damian's head used on eisenhorn's body before. Simple, but very effective. I look forward to seeing what you do with the paint scheme!
I can't really comment on the second chap though, the picture isn't clear enough :( You should try using the Macro mode on your camera (they all have one, it's the little symbol of a flower), balancing your camera on top of something (I use GW spray paint lid with a blob of bluetack, every household has those items!) and using a timer function to eliminate camera shake. Placing the models against a backdrop of a plain white piece of paper helps the camera to focus on the model, rather than something in the background.
Marco wrote a nice guide on taking photos of minis, but I can't seem to find it. I'm sure he'll come along and enlighten us...
y'know Bloodhound is a fairly unpopular head round these parts - but it works surprisingly well on the Eisenhorn body.

Here. (http://www.the-conclave.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=201.0)
I've just petitioned to have it added as a link in the Modelling resources thread, so hopefully it should be easier to find in future.
A very ineresting project so far. What colors do you plan to use?
I like the model but I might think that Damien face looks a little too young to be an Inquiistor face.

I believe is all due to the wierd open mouth and weak chin ;D
Sorry if this is deemed threadomancy, but Octavian Lars is now fully painted and based. Pics will go up when they get uploaded as a matter of priority

This is your first 54mm model, right?
Good stuff.
I like the colour scheme - steers well clear of clown-like colour without being drab, and in nicely traditional shades.
Do you have a finer brush for the decals and insignia and such?
The aquila on the coat lining look good, but the ][ could do with a little cleaning up - practice and a finer brush will sort that out no problem.
I've never seen the Bloodhound head with a moustache, as far as I can recall. Or it might just be shadow, I guess.
But if it is a moustache, good call - I think it does a bit of work to make the Damien head look less goofy, since it's otherwise a clearly young face with aforementioned gaping gob and no chin.
A promising start.
Not a bad start.
One thing is that the pupil/iris is too rather small a dot, so it's showing a lot of eye white around it.
And lots of white visible around the eye only really happens when the eyes are wide from shock. Combine that with the appearance of shrunken pupils, and it looks like he's a little more terrified by whatever he's looking at than an Inquisitor really should be.
@ TheNephew: Yes, it is my first 54mm and the shadow meant to be a mustache, but then he was meant to be a youthful inquisitor.
@Marco: It had been done with a micron pen, but has now been fixed.
@all: I will be in GW aberdeen tomorrow if anyone wants a game (I also will have 1K tau).
Here is an enemy of Octavian that belongs to my friend even though I did most of the work.

Unforutunately, during transit somewhere, 2 of my PDF (includig thomas Grant) and OL+Carter were all badly chipped.
That's a real creep, what kind of person is he?
drug addict/ dealer, the mask is his inhaler. He's quite an unstable gunslinger (probably the reason that during 1 game, the mortar he was operating exploded)
Seeing him it makes sense that the thing exploded, he looks a bit light on rationality.
Got Damien1427 in the post today and have assembled him as Greengo R268. Now also undercoated and ready for painting.
Posting hamish (untrained week psyker) and Greengo R268 now

Any interest ?
I like the night-vision effect on Octavian, but the other two pictures are a little blury (especially the Hamish picture), so it's somewhat difficult to make out the finer details.
Hamish is a 28mm 40K Dark Eldar Haemonculus. Are you doing an Inq28 warband?
No, he shrunk when he used a psychic power before a game (not INQ28) mainly so I had a use for him (got 2nd hand)
