Title: ChaosOrc.com?
Post by: Lucidum on April 13, 2011, 08:57:30 PM
So I found this site called chaosorc.com, which has several Inquisitor models available for lower prices, as well as a few things which have been OOP for a while, including the inquisitor scenic base pack and exterminatus issues. This seems too good to be true, does anyone know if it's a scam or something?

I've not heard of them before, but one issue of Exterminatus and some scenic bases isn't as exciting as I was hoping for...

Well yeah, not that exciting. But better than the slim pickings on Arcadian Smugglers or eBay. And $22 for most of the inquisitor models they have in stock isn't half bad. In terms of other games, they even have some OOP epic armageddon and other specialist range stuff.

The ASR is not really the sort of place where you'd expect to see a load of OOP stuff but quite a few people, myself included, do have OOP stuff that they might be prepared to trade under the right circumstances, but generally people only post if there's something they need. As for eBay, there still seems to be a steady stream of OOP stuff but the demand, and consequently cost, is usually high.

I think it won't be a scam simply because of the size of the catalogue, it would be much simpler to put in only a few things which are sure to sell. Googling also shows a bunch of good reviews so I think they will be moderately reliable.

Having just said eBay was expensive for OOP stuff I note that a Water Caste and Bosun have just sold for £19 and £25 respectively which is a pretty good deal - not much more than a new figure from GW and a fair bit less than a few of the non-GW figures I've bought recently.

I will dance like a monkey for one of those-where do I sign?

It is quite interesting as this last week there has been a big batch go through-scary enough I actually watched the tau finish, as I thought it was going to go mad!

I tend to watch whatever OOP stuff comes up on eBay just to see what it goes for.  Kal tends to go for very high prices as do some bits, but I'm often surprised how cheap some models are given the amount of people just on here who seem desperate to get their hands on them.

Are they though?  I sometimes wonder as there are a lot of models sold on eBay that don't seem to appear on here...

I was actually referring to the person who recently bought a model that had Murke's right but no left arm, but if you need one too, PM me.
