Title: Which rules do i use?
Post by: JoelMcKickass on April 19, 2011, 11:47:34 PM
I'm got the original paper copy of the rules, and i need a serious refresher, but i'm not sure if i should use the original copy, or has any of the rules changed in the online version?

Should i download the entire thing and print it off, or is my current copy still good?

The LRB has changed in a few places. The full auto and flame weapon rules have changed, as has a few odd things like the hit location table and a few muddled numbers in the armoury. In short: Just look through for any red text in the LRB.

My suggestion is to print out the altered pages at the right scale, then cut the new passages out and stick them in to your hard copy. No sense wasting reams of paper for the occasional changed rule or number.

I would simply put in the newly printed out pages and not paste it in over the old bits, I'd hate to make such a nice book look worse by glueing in pieces of paper.

Well, I suppose whether it's still a nice book depends on how long you've had it and how well you've kept it. I've had mine almost since the initial release, and I wasn't the most careful with my stuff as a teenager...

Hence, when I'd misplaced it at the IGT, when someone said "This is definitely my one", I responded with "I know, it's not tatty enough."

I bought a cheap tatty copy on eBay for a couple of quid and pasted the updates into that, plus I have a nice copy for my bookshelf.
