Title: Shaiyleigh - Traitor Inquisitor (Possessed Host) in game rules
Post by: Inquisitor Dionzi on May 21, 2011, 11:04:35 PM
***INQUISITOR SHAIYLEIGH – THE FALLEN***

Shaiyleigh – now known as the Fallen Inquisitor of Miĕrn – was one of many pupils of a radical Inquisitor who set up base on the core planet known as Miĕrn. She began her career as a Monodominant, and by her second century, she had crossed the line between Puritanism and the path of the Radical. She began to investigate the boundaries between the Empyrean and the material realm, with a specific interest in how daemons can choose or to be forced to be bound into physical forms. As an interrogator and a young Inquisitor, she embarked upon missions given to her by her master (a radical Inquisitor whose name even she has forgotten), having been blinded by simple loyalty and his own manipulations of her mind. Like her master, she is a strong psyker, but unlike him, she was seduced by the power Chaos offered through her master's interpretations, rather than an holding an independently "different" perspective on the Chaos Powers, as he did. Her will is noticeably weaker than many advanced-level psykers, and perhaps that is what tipped her fully over the edge into the Istvaanian belief. Shaiyleigh, always a bloodthirsty woman, simply flipped the coin on her morals.

Her experiments were an attempt, according to her records, to not only bind daemons to material things but to limit the number of daemons loose in the Warp. She attempted to prove that for every physical item possessed by a daemon, that daemon's essence can be utterly destroyed. Her experiments went too far.

She followed her master's attempts at creating daemonhosts and weapons and added a twist: she tore a daemonette of Slaanesh's essence from the Warp and implanted it within her own body. She used the powers of a full astrotelepathic choir to supersede the will of the daemon and succeeded in removing its higher intelligence. She is beginning to mutate into the form of the beast within her, and takes the same perverse pleasures as those Slaanesh cultists she once destroyed without mercy. She was once hunted and trapped by Inquisitor Lord Mallarn Dionzi of the Ordo Malleus, but escaped his clutches in a battle that ended in his apparent (but uncertain - his body was never found) death. She is now searching for any Inquisitors known to have created daemonhosts, attempting to secure their knowledge for herself. Shaiyleigh, once attempting to bind the Warp to the material world, is now a pawn of the forces of Chaos and she uses her powers as an Inquisitor of the Imperium of Man (albeit a renegade and excommunicate traitoris) to forward her perverted and corrupt agendas.

Shaiyleigh, The Fallen Inquisitor of Miĕrn

WS   BS   S   T   I   Wp   Sg   Nv   Ld   Speed

76   52   70   63   92   83   79   88   77   6

Special Abilities:  Mesmerism, Lightning Reflexes, Acrobatic, Feint, Quicksilver, The Torturer's Touch. Shaiyleigh is right handed.

Mutations: Razor-sharp Claws & Talons (left hand only), Chitinous Hide, Enhanced Senses

Touch of Chaos: As she has the unstable essence of a daemon within her, she must take a Will power check as any character would when wielding a daemon weapon at the start of every turn.

Possessed Psyker: Any Banishment spells cast upon Shaiyleigh does 2x damage. If she loses all of her damage points in this manner, roll a D6 – on a 1 she transforms into an Unbound Daemonhost with random statistics with Slaaneshi abilities.

Equipment: Pentagrammic & hexagrammic wards; Spook injector; MIU Needle Pistol (2D6+4 Damage; Hallucinogen Toxin or Choke Toxin – the toxin darts from this weapon are derived from Shaiyleigh's own essence and flesh. She takes D3 damage to her head and D3 damage to her torso  every time she fires the weapon.  Toxin effects last for one round longer than usual.)

Quoteshe tore a daemonette of Slaanesh's essence from the Warp and implanted it within her own body. She used the powers of a full astrotelepathic choir to supersede the will of the daemon and succeeded in removing its higher intelligence.

I love the idea of the character, however, I'm slightly confused as to the motive of this. Why did she do it? Did she want to take the power of the daemonette within her? Or is it to prove you could do it?

Also, what are the rules for Torturers Touch?

Do crazy people ever need a reason to do anything?  I'd imagine that perhaps she either wanted to see if she could harness the power of the Warp by harnessing the essence of a daemon within her...or maybe just to see if she could do it. Or, if she were rational, to see if her experiments on inanimate objects were transferable to living subjects...and she figured that she should be the one to benefit, because, after all, she's 100% confident in her research.

Speaking as a crazy person, yes. They just don't necessarily seem like good, sane and well thought-out reasons to (allegedly) normal people.
