Title: I 'd like to introduce myself
Post by: Mozzy on August 04, 2011, 02:28:47 AM
Hello everyone :)

I am 21, I live in Sunderland, and I have been playing 40k for around 9-10 years. I have been playing Inquisitor since it was released. My local gaming club at the time ran regular Inquisitor campaigns all the time when I was at school, but alas that club is now long gone and I havent played Inquisitor in years.

I am looking to get back into the game as I really enjoyed it, but at my current local gaming club I am literally the only person who has any desire to play.

Its nice to see that the game still has a loyal following on the internet though.

Damn, I'm not sure that thread title is close enough to let me complete the quote. Well, moving on.

You're not the only person I've met who's done the same. It's GW's opinion this transition doesn't happen, which is probably a big part of why the Specialist Games lost their support.

There are quite a lot of ways to coax players into taking part, not least amongst them is the pretty models - Inquisitor came about as a 54mm game because the sculpting team wanted to do bigger, more detailed models.

Alternatively, you might be able to find some reasonably nearby players through this list (http://www.the-conclave.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=38.0).

Lastly, we do run Conclave events down in Nottingham a few times a year. Although quite a long way if you're in Sunderland, you get to play with some of the game's most dedicated players.
The next one is on October 29th - mind you, I'm running that one, so it might turn out a bit funny (particularly if I continue my trend of not sleeping the night before an event).
