The Adeptus Arbites had little of importance to say on the world of Fauros II and the everyone knew it. The Ecclesiarchy was in charge. It was world ruled by the Cardinal. When Ghealdan was assigned to the world he rose quickly through the ranks for his unique ability to excerpt the power of the Arbites. Regrettably he went a step to far when he allowed one of his men to charge a preacher with a vicious assault. His officer was charged with heresy. However Ghealdan refused to release the man. the ecclesiarchy was happy to come and get him and his enforcer was killed and he lost both of his arms as punishment. Inquisitor Malgado is a Recongregator with a praticular hatred of the ecclesiarchy and was searching for a way to bring their power down to a more acceptable level on Fauros. This provided an excellent opportunity and a vicious civil war ensued. At the end the Arbites had won after Inquisitor Malgado called ina favor from his old master and the Dusk Knights space marine chapter. At the end of the war Enforcer Ghealdan was happy to join his retinue. Since Ghealdan has happily put an end to the lives of many corrupt priests with the aid of his shotgun, and that of his fallen enforcer.

One pump action combat shotgun
Special Abilities: Heres where i'm in a fix. Gunfighter, ambidextrous, and rock steady aim all seem apropriate. However all three seems like it might be a bit much... Which would make the most sense for him? I'm quite set on the two shotgun plan, mostly because i have an awesome model. He'll probably never reload the double barrel shotgun, so it wouldn't be THAT much of an advantage. Just one round of death. Any advice for a new player?
Gunfighter is for Pistols, if i'm not mistaken. Shotguns are Basic Weapons, and as such Dual-weilding them is not a good idea, if atall possible.
Ambidextrous is either just a straight out Yes, or a straight out No. Its your desicion, just be aware that more than one naturally Ambidextrous person per warband is almost impossible.
And rock teady aim... I think thats more apropriate for twin pistols as well.
If your totally Set on two full-sized shotguns, I would leave his skills empty. You cant dual weild shotguns really, but he could fight with two. Just not at the same time.
Now if you want to use two shotgun-ish eweapons at the same time, use Shot-pistols. They are only 1 barreled, but they are pistols. As such, you can use them 2 at a time.
how about a pair of sawn-off, counts as pistols. (remember, we can bend the rules)
There's nothing in the rules to prevent you using Gunfighter with two basic weapons. The character would have to be pretty strong to do it without penalty though - but since you're giving your character a massive strength there's no problem on that score...
Sawn Offs is probably a better idea, Shotguns are sizable to say the least. Sawn offs would look cooler too, IMO.
Still, tis your character.
I absolutely agree on the sawn off part. It would be a quite simple matter to make one of them sawn off, i would simply saw off part of the barrell :D. He's certainly the only ambidextrous person in my warband, in fact he's the only one with anything bigger than a pistol. I think i'll keep gun-fighter and ambidextrous but not rock steady aim as well as switching the double barrel to sawn off. I wish i could make the other one the same, it would certainly look better, however it's a combat shotgun and sawing it off would be difficult at best.
So it'd be hard work- thats what converting a successful mdel is about is it not? Hard work and the rewards at the end. Try Using a Lolipop stick to replace a small amount of barrel lost and cuting the whole thing right down to the Pump-loader thingy. I imagine it looks something like this

Before Conversion. Sawing the barrel right down to the loader isn't all that hard surely?
I grabbed a backpack from Necromunda wit a regular shotgun attached for Ridian Jago. It was on a backpack, but if you wanted to grab a sawn off double barrelled, the regular shotguns fit pretty well (the gang is Goliaths, they have a few sawn offs. but i'm pretty sure you can find some on other gangs.
