It's been a while but I've finally got my first 28mm warband together.
Here they are:

Felix Spurius my Glavian pilot turned rogue trader

Lurpas Stanum an adeptus mechanus outcast (I based the model on the mortal engines engineers with the lightning gun on his back)

Not too sure yet what to call this one yet (sugestions would be welcome)
he's a robot that Felix has managed to piece together with the help of Lurpas from parts he has won in various games
Felix has a very nice-looking gun. For the robot, perhaps the Spurius-1, to refer to the one who financed it?
I like the engineer, that lightning gun looks great!
I don't know why, maybe it's the hunched posture, but the robot looks kind of sad to me. I also lime the slightly scrappy look to him (or her or it, I'm not good with robot gender). I really like that model, as it has a sort of melancholy feel to it. Again this might just be me.
My suggestion for the name of the robot is klunk or headlamp, but I like klunk more.
I look forward to seeing then painted.
I love the broomhandle Mauser look.
Made a Change to my robot think this looks better, slightly more ramshackle and stops it from having a heavy bolter

On the name front I was thinking Klunk was good maybe something like Luck-E, as he won the parts though gambling?
The new weapon looks nice, will you use it as an assault cannon or as something a bit lighter?

I think I'm going to use it as a heavy stubber or an autocannon not too sure yet
Here are the rules and bit of back story for these guys:

I've just finished painting Felix here he is (not too sure about the base though..):

I like the base. Nice and simple, and puts the focus on the model itself. The overall paint scheme seems to be a little dark, but that's just personal preference.
I like that you're not using a heavy bolter on the robot
I like the edge of his cloak, simple but effective. The metal could perhaps be a slight bit brighter, but that could just be me.
Two thing firstly I've decided to call the robot LUCK-E. Secondly I'm not too sure how to paint him wether I should use a similar dark paint scheme with black chipped panels and other metal and brass parts or wether I should have him completely black with chipped parts and occasional small metal and brass sections or wether he should be just solidly from scrap metal and random pieces with not much coherence and lots of rusty metal?
I would give LUCK-E pieces in different metallic colours showing that it was built from many separate parts.
Just finished LUCK-E, think he turned out pretty well

LUCK-E looks good, but perhaps it would be good to do something to break up the large black areas, perhaps its name.
Yeah I waned to put his name on but I wasn't really sure where to put it...
I think that on top of the 'eye' would be a good place, there is a large empty space up there. Just in front of the metallic rim.
I wouldn't go with his name to be honest as it doesn't really fit the 40k setting. I'd go with some script to represent technical instructions on him. Possibly on the shoulder and inner part of his head for example.
