Title: Inquisitor Jericus "Crisis" Callidon, and warband coming.

Inquisitor Jericus "Crisis" Callidon
Growing up in a big poor family in the lower parts of the hive Sorleria on Xicsa, Jericus had to fight every day to survive. His mother, Galatia, left with a smuggling space ship when he was only five years old, leaving him, his father and his brothers and sisters in the slum, chasing fame and fortune. His father was a latent psyker that got hunted down by the Arbites and transported to the Black Ships when he was only nine years old. After this Jericus and the rest of his siblings scattered to the four winds across the hive, a few sticking together for protection. Not many survived for long but some managed to make a living in some way. Some started working with gangs, harboring ill feelings against the Imperium for destroying their family and the their lives, and a few got involved in several different cults. Jericus survived by him self but not having the same hate as many of his siblings did. He kept his faith in the Emperor, that he had a plan for his life. Through the challenges in his life Jericus found a strength that he didn't know he had. He developed a keen, quick thinking mind and a slim and fast body to survive in the hovels of Sorleria. Learning how to work in the shadows was mandatory for Jericus to survive in the hives. He learnt every nick, alley and hiding place in the area. Keeping track of the gangs, gang leaders and other dangerous persons was easy; keeping hidden from them was much harder. Jericus came into conflict several times and he had to learn to fight if he was to have chance to make it. It was during one of these fights that the involved broken up by the Arbites and took everyone into custody, after Jericus had killed two gang members and severely injured three more. This was the first step towards the Golden Throne.

Ardentites Inquisitor Millicent Quintilla of the Ordo Xeno was investigating a smuggling ring smuggling xeno tech to the lower hives of Sorleria. She and her entourage had travelled to Xicsa following the suspect Rogue Trader. When Millicent arrived at Xicsa the suspect had already disappeared down in the hives. Knowing that if she started searching by her self there was a big chance that she might miss the exchange. She needed a local guide since her contacts had only been able to produce a description about the meeting place, but no directions of how to get there. She reached out to the local Arbites office, requesting their best guide they had. The hives security was at stake; if these xeno weapons got to the wrong people, no one knows what could happen. The Arbites had some officers that knew the hives, but no officers knew of the place of the meeting. One officer knew of Jericus, and that nobody knew the hives better than him. Millicent was skeptic at first about Jericus; but one of Millicent agents was a telepath, Raltus Severus, and scanned and read Jericus mind, and found nothing but dedication to the Emperor and the possibility of a capable psyker. Millicent decided to bring him along; too much of the pain of her acolyte Nihilius Solomon, who had a more Monodominant view, he got a bad feeling about Jericus and didn't trust Millicents "pet psyker".

So they set out in Sorleria; Jericus leading Millicents force of platoon strength towards the meeting place, an old Mechanicus factory. They reached the factory as the trade was taking place. As they were taking an overwatch position on the upper store in the factory a sentinel that they had missed spotted them and gave a warning shout. All hell broke lose. The Rogue Trader turned alien weapons on the Inquisitors retinue and the buyers, several gang members from the biggest gang on Xicsa, also turned their autoguns and pistols on the Inquisitor. Millicents group was immediately pinned. The group that Jericus was taking a lot of fire and the squad leader took a plasma bolt to the head. All the fire was eating away their cover. Jericus had to make a decision. He swooped up the squad and made a tactical retreat and then a counter-charge in the gang members rear. This decisive move and the skill and experience of the Inquisitor troopers destroyed the gang members. The Rogue Trader cut their losses and retreated, decimated but with their leader still living. They managed to escape Xicsa to their starship and broke for the closest warp point. Millicent decided after this that Jericus had potential and took him to the Black Ships, after which he was released in Millicents custody for both Inquisition and psychic training with Raltus.

His first mission with Millicent after the Black Ships was the continued hunt for the Rogue Trader that had escaped them on Xicsa. Millicents spy network had tracked the Rogue Trader to the planet Adokl in the Nefera system and was now going to shut the Rogue Trader down for good. They made planet fall with a company of troops and assaulted the stronghold. The fighting was hard and brutal, but the Inquisitorial forces was steadily pushing deeper and deeper into the base. The squad that Jericus was with came across the Rogue Traders squad of bodyguard. In the whirlwind of shooting the Rogue Trader showed her true face. It was Jericus mother, Galatia, not a true Rogue Trader but a pirate. Jericus couldn't believe it; he had thought his mother was dead. He became reckless in the combat trying to reach his mother. He broke laid down combat protocol, and several of the soldier died because Jericus wasn't watching their back. It was only the appearance of Millicent that turned the tide and just when they were going to apprehend Galatia, she was teleported away to her Frigate, which speeded away. Nihilius was furious at Jericus behavior and it was mostly Raltus's recommendation that Jericus still was a worthwhile asset. He needed hard and more focused training; physical, mentally and psychical.

Several years later Jericus was following on a mission sent by Millicent under the command of acolyte Nihilius, to the Koldara system. The mission was to observe a cardinal on the shrine world of Kolda, named after the saint Kolda. Nihilius had grown an arrogant personality and openly flaunted that he worked for the Inquisition on the Lunar Craft Cruiser Wrath-blade, to the dismayed of Jericus. Jericus spent his time ghosting and scouting around the battleship as Nihilius socialized with the captain of the ship. During their long travel in the warp, Jericus discovered a Chaos cult onboard. The cult leader turned out to be the ships second in command; Wilhelm Swader. He discovered that the cult was planning to take over the ship when they exit the warp with the help of summoned demons through out the ship. Jericus went to Nihilius with this and Nihilius decided to sabotage the warning signals about exiting the warp, so the cult wouldn't be able to coordinate their infernal ritual. The plan succeeded, and Wilhelm was outed in front of the captain but he managed to escape. Nihilius blamed Jericus for Wilhelm's escape but the captain awarded the whole team with gifts from his personal armoury and Jericus got his personal sidearm for the discovery of the cult, which Jericus still treasures.

30 years after Jericus joined up with Millicent he was on an own solo mission wearing a Inquisitor badge, leading a small strike force of Imperial Navy and a Elysian Imperial Guard Regiment to investigate several raids against Imperial trading crafts in the Furva system. Millicent suspected Eldar activities. She was correct. A Dark Eldar cruiser and some escorts were prowling the space hunting tradecrafts. It was a tough struggle, for where the Imperium had superior numbers; the Eldar had superior manoverbuility and weaponry. Jericus led an assault against the cruiser, in which he got captured and brought in front of the leading Archon at the Eldar bridge. The Archon took great pleasure in his price, a drugged imperial Inquisitor, and told Jericus about the pain and torture to come when he took him back to the Dark City. Jericus laughed through the pain of the poison and activated a concealed homer beacon, and within seconds the bridge was filled with light. When the light lifted 10 black giants were spaced around the bridge. Deathwatch Space Marines. Jericus plan was to get captured to get taken to the bridge. A risky move, but one that paid of. The Archon and the bridge crew were killed to the man. The cruiser was crippled and the remaining escorts fled the rest of the Imperial fleet. He had learned from his previous mistakes and now was an efficient planner, and thanks to Raltus teachings and training he could trap his opponent in cunning webs.

After recovering this Millicent sent him on a special mission. To track down a special heretic that has plagued their past. His pirate mother, Galatia.  He was tasked to complete this by himself to prove that he was not a burden on the team and his dedication. It took two year to find any leading information about his mother, and another year to track her down. His mother had built a small pirate empire in the south part of the galaxy, and it took Jericus six months to infiltrate her organization to the point where he managed to come face to face with his mother. When he confronted her Millicent sprung her trap. A strikeforce containing one company of the Eagle Warriors Chapter with Millicent's own forces had been tracking Jericus through his whole mission, waiting for him to infiltrate Galatia's organization and for him to get close enough to her to be sure that they get her this time. Since the incident at Adokl Millicent had sent agent after agent to try to infiltrate Galatia's little empire. No one had got close enough before they were found out. So as a furious close-range space battle were raging Jericus dueled with his mother. She tried to convince him to join her, that as mother and son they could live as royalty as was their right. That they could create their own Imperium and that she could make him the Emperor. Jericus rage just grew more and more the more Galatia spoke these heresies, and his attacks grew more furious. As the Imperium forces were crippling Galatia's command ship they were still dueling. Jericus servered both of Galatia's hands with a sword strike and were teleported aboard Millicents personal vessel just as his sword ranged of the floor plating. When Jericus realized where he was he collapsed as his body finally gave away to his injures and exation. Millicent's forces completely destroyed Galatia's pirates but a few ships made it away to warp points. Galatia's fate is unknown since her body was never found, and even if her flagship was destroyed several evacuation ships made it away from it before it blew up. Since this event Jericus has had a growing hate for Rogue Traders as "Imperial scum".

Shortly after this, upon returning to Millicent, Jericus was tested for the rank of fully-fledged Inquisitor. His innovating and quick thinking, fearlessness, dedication to the Emperor, resourcefulness and Millicents recommendation saw him pass, and was raised to Inquisitor. Now Jericus travel the galaxy in his own personal Firestorm Frigate, named Light Shadow, as an Ordo Hereticus operative collecting data about Divine Avatars from the libraries of the Ministorum. He also keeps looking for Wilhelm, and any other chaotic cults and heretics. He has adopted the Anomalian Beholders philosophy, and is building quite a library on Light Shadow. Other capabilities on the ship is an advanced medical facility, a weapon storage, a hangar with some atmospheric aircrafts, a command room for Jervicus slowly growing spy network, a Navigator, an Astropath choir and a housing Jervicus own personal army; an Elysian Imperial Guard Company with Navy Support. Their combat style impressed him, and the first thing he did as an Inquisitor was to find the Regiment that served under him before. Elysian's are the perfect force as guards for a Cruiser and their ability to rapidly counter attack fits perfect.

Nerve-poisoned: Dark Eldar raider poisoned Jericus when they took hmi as prisoner, and he hasn't been able to get it completly cured. At the start of each turn Jericus has to take a TG test. If he fails he is starting to get wracked by paralyzing pain. His Speed get  lowered to 2 and all actions with a test gets 20 % harder, except TG tests, and recieves +D6 to his Injury total. At the start of the next turn he has to take another test. If he passes he is only wraked with pain, +D6 Injury total, but if he doesn't passes he is has to take a System chock test. Jericus can stop all this by taking a Nerve de-tox, which stops all this for five turns.

Grease Monkey Sierra "Tank"
The woman known as Sierra was born on the small Forge World of Maltros. Born in a family, under a diffrent name, that laboured as man power in the forges, she was an only child. At an young age she showed a scary affinity with machinery. The forge masters singled her out and introduced her to the Machine Cult, at the youngest age ever on Maltros. After a year of teaching she had had enough. She couldn't stand for the dedication to the Machine God and the indocrination. Her family had been faithfull to the Emperor instead of the Machine God, and Sierra wouldn't let faith go. She thought that the strive to become less human and more machine was vile. The Emperor wasn't a machine, he had created the human race as it was today and we shouldn't change his design. And since they were the Emperors children, machine must be mankinds children. She tried to get back to her family, but the Mechanicus is not willing to let go of their assets before they are done with it. She hid in the suburbs while the Mechanicus forces searched for her. When they returned to their forges she crawled out of her hiding place just to find her family and home burnt down to the ground, and that they were building a new home for a new family there. As she stood there crying she abandoned her old name and took the name Sierra, the designation on her old home.

Her childhood revolved around stealing to survive, and stealing machine parts to cure her mechanic curiosity. She stole machinery and experimated to learn how to do things. She treasured all her inventions as her only remaining family, and some of does first creations still has a place in her workshop onboard Light Shadow. But life on the run isn't a walk in the park. She had to flee everytime she meet some gangs or especiely patroling Skitarii. But aftar some time she started to try to create weapons and firearms, and after many experaments and failours she managed to create her tunnel revolver and some shells.

Now she grew more confident and more bold in her undertakings. She went to steal from more rich people and took entire combuters, vehicles and other machines. She had to fight to secure all these stuff, espepciely when she tried to relieve crimminals and smugglers of their products. During one of these enterprices she got her hands on a truck full of illegal cuircit boards. As she was driving away the smugglers managed to throw a grenade into the drivers seat. Sierra got out of the truck just as a the grenade detonated. She recieved some scrapes from the sharpnel but one shrapnel pierced her right eye. She bandaged her eye as best she could but her aim was never the same again. Her thefts became less and less profitting. She became more and more desperate, but it didn't matter how good her weapons got, if she couldn't hit with it. She had to get in contact with Gob, a surgion, to get a bionic replacement. He went along with the operation, but afterward he demanded that she would break into the Mechanicus data storage facility and steal some data as payment for it. When she refused he told her that he had injected her with a slow growing poison and if she didn't do as he told her he wouldn't give her the antidote. So she had to do it.

She managed to break in and locate the information, information about chemical warfare, and she thought that since she already was there she could help herself to some more information. Computer programing, physics, generator technology, forcefields, weapons, vehicle scematics and several other subjects. She was discovered as she was making her way out of the facility and started a fire to lose her pursuers. She managed to get out the facility, and made her way out to the slums. But she noticed quite soon that the Mechanicus forces were pursuing her. She managed to hide the data before they caught her, and screamed at them that they had to let her go, that she was poisoned and had to get the antidote. The Magos examined her and discovered that she had been poisoned by an easily treated. They also reconised who she was from a DNA-scan, and imprisoned her in wait of sentence for her crime as they establieshed what kind of damages she had caused.

During this time Jericus had arraived to help and assist an investigation by an Magos Mercuito, who was suspecting that the Forge Masters were undertaking forbidden reaserch. Jericus aproached the Forge Masters as a Inquisitor who needed assistance with his cruiser as the Magos was conducting his investigation. All eyes was fixed on Jericus, so nobody took notice of an extra "tech-priest" walking around. As Jericus was walking around seemingly at random, he came across the detention area. He was looking at the cells occupants one by one. Some rogue tech-priests, mostly civilian criminals and smugglers, but one caught his eye. A wild, dirty girl with one bionic eye and in her natural eyehe saw an unfillable curiosity  and intelligence. He watch her for some minutes as she was studying the lock keeping her in the cell. Jericus continued his tour through the forge. He later meet up with Magos Mercuito, and discused his findings. Mercuito had found the evidence he expected and needed, but he believed that the Forge Masters had found him out and that they needed an exit strategy since they were alone, "behind enemy lines" as the soldier saying went. Then out of nowhere alarms went of. Mercuito hacked a nearby controll station to see what was happening, fearing that they were starting to chase them. Aparently all of the prisoners had been let loose by a young girl who had escaped from her own cell. One who called herself Sierra.

Jericus used this diversion to get to a communication room and called in the reenforcement of Skitarii forces. A grueling battle to bring the forge under compliance started. Jericus decided that he wanted Sierra if he could get his hands on her. He and the Magos fought both escaping criminals and the rogue Mechanicus forces through the forge, hacking into the survialinse system tracking Sierra as she was trying to get out without getting into trouble. When he got his eyes on her she was fighting a combat servitor. When she killed it, the creature exploded  which caused the corridor to cave in over her. As the dust settled Jericus found Sierra with her left arm trapped under the rubble, but the rest of her was intacted except for some bruises and small cuts. More enemy forces were closing in so he had to act fast. He drew his blade and cuted of her arm. Jericus and Magos Mercuito managed to drag her out of the forge and got her to the medic team. Jercius made sure that Sierra got the best bionic arm replacement available, and also replaced her crude eye bionic.

When Sierra came to after the procedures Jericus asked her to work for him. He had read the file the Mechanicus had composed about her. He promised her that she would get free reins to learn, experiment and build, as long as she did and go where het old her. She agreed, but before they could leave Maltros, she wanted to make three stops. First was to her old hiding place to collect all of her children. The second was a visit to Gob, and pay him in due kind for his services. At last she collect the data slate which contained almost all the knowledge that the forge had collected. Now she follows Jericus with her own made weapons, and work from her own workshop aboard Light Shadow where she is inventing things and work on the cruiser, as much as the onboard Magos allous.

I want to play Inq, and by that I mean Inq54, but I can't find any place that plays it here in Sweden. I've asked around in my home city and the city in which I live now, but been met with the response "Inquisitor? Is that still a game?". I'm thinking about trying to travel to your convention the you guys arange when I don't have so much studies.
While you'd be very welcome at any Conclave event, why not build two warbands and see if you can tempt a couple of friends into joining you in a game? If you make some cool models and interesting characters you may well be able to hook people in. And if you do, they can still continue to borrow the a model or two from you while they are building up their own warband.

Overal the background is very nice, there are however a few things I would consider changing.

Firstly, I think that it would be better to have him start out on another world than Terra, the planet is under such a tight lockdown that any gang which is even rumoured to have xenos items is likely to be hunted down immediately. Other hive worlds would be more accessible.

Secondly, I would change the Emperor Class battleship to something like a Lunar Class Cruiser, still an immense warship but not as rare as a Battleship, an inquisitorial agent would be very unlikely to get his hands on such a vessel after all. I would also try to change the planet, Ophelia VII is another highly important world, another shrine world would probably fit better.

Finally, I would leave out the hunting down of the siblings, he wouldn't have many and life is very short in the hives.

For a bit of a critique...

Quote from: Bergtorp on May 05, 2012, 10:01:20 AMGrowing up in a big poor family in the lower parts of the hive Karelia on Terra
As Dolnikan, I'd avoid using Terra. Aside from it being such an important location, it's not the kind of place you'd choose for xenos arms deals - the Imperium is far too intolerant of anyone tainting their holy ground to make it a good choice.

There's several other issues - with the level of policing and as they don't have to wait for the Blackships, a psyker would be unlikely to father a large family.  And as the home of the Emperor, you'd be unlikely to get the idea of resentment because their father had gone - the cultural indoctrination of Terra would probably mean they'd have been likely to turn him in themselves.
(Also, there's a good chance they'd take the kids too.)

I'd just come up with another hive world.

QuoteArdentites Inquisitor Lord Millicent Quintilla of the Ordo Xeno...
Two things. Firstly, she seems a bit lax if she's somehow surprised that a group of illegal smugglers have plenty of firepower and reinforcements.

Secondly, I'm not all that keen on "saves an Inquisitor's life" recruitment. It's overdone, and not all that logical. Inquisitors aren't usually the sentimental type. (And as she also seems to want to ask him to massacre his entire family... definitely not). You've got to be more useful than "at the wrong place at the right time and got lucky" for an Inquisitor to decide you're worth having around.

A better story might be that he was roped in as having knowledge of that area of the lower hive. Why him? Perhaps he'd been caught by the Arbites for some reason (genuine or otherwise. But I'd go with genuine but petty - minor theft?) and she decided he was usable, if disposable, as a guide.
Their ambush goes wrong for whatever reason (rather than her running in like Leeroy Jenkins and getting their butts handed to them, perhaps they trigger a tripwire alarm?), but due to Jericus' knowledge of the underhive tunnels, they manage to redeploy their forces quickly and well enough to recover the situation. He also gets to demonstrate a keen initiative and fast wit in these few moments.

He does then perhaps get to save the Inquisitor's life, but instead of it then being just sentimental recruitment of a total unknown, you've got a more solid case for keeping him on - his quick thinking and saving the situation acting as some proof of his competence.

QuoteJericus went to Nihilius with this but Nihilius didn't believe him, since he had dined several times with the second in command and never got any suspicious vibe from him.
Also seems a bit under suspicious for an Inquisitor.

Perhaps if there was a bit of ill-blood between the two that made Nihilius less likely to trust Jericus? Maybe Jericus had genuinely totally screwed up on one of Nihilius' former operations and had lost a lot of respect from him.
This would also help break up the running string of successes you've written in his background - even the best screw up occasionally.

QuoteTo track down every one of his family and make sure they lived in the Emperors light, and if not make them see the error of their ways.
Aside from what I've already said about such things happening on Terra... well, while I'm sure a future Inquisitor could be that cold blooded (and a current one cruel enough to test their acolyte's dedication in such a way), I think either that:
- Dolnikan has a fair point about life in the hives,
- Or it would be more appropriate to have them "purified" in more interesting or comprehensive ways than just stabbing them to death. Trials of purity and interesting/unusual punishments.

QuoteHaving a psychic level of Sigma, he has studied and trained with the psykers in Millicents retinue and gained some psychic control.
Pi/Rho is the "centre" of the scale, so Sigma is actually mild psychic inactivity. Sigmas might have a much lesser sense for some of the "gut instincts" that normal humans might have, like the sense of wrongness around psychic activity or Pariahs, but it's all psychic inability.

You want something more like Iota or Theta.

QuoteInquisitor Nihilius is still harbouring ill feelings after the Wrath of Truth incident, and try to undercut Jericus at every turn he can, and in his frustration Nihilius has turned to the Horusian faction to try to solve get to the goal before Jericus.
I think that's... stupidly petty and excessive. Starting a dedicated vendetta because someone proved to be right after you didn't believe them? I don't like to keep saying "Inquisitors aren't like that", given how much Inquisitors vary, but they do all have some traits in common, and I can't honestly see an Inquisitor being that small-minded.

There might be rivalry, but "He was right and saved me from a horrible daemony death? I WILL DESTROY HIM! VENGEANCE SHALL BE MINE! BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!" is really over the top.

Thanks Dolnikan and MarcoSkoll.
I'll take your tips and rewrite some of his history.
I wanted in his story to show a personal trial of his conviction by Millicent.
And I wanted to create a nemesis in the story.
IƤll get back to you.

That might be better done with an enemy he keeps running up against.

Perhaps if the traitorous second in command were to have escaped and have taken up a personal vendetta against Jericus since? This would save Nihilius turning into a comically inept/desperate rival for petty reasons - of course, those two wouldn't have to get along, if you didn't want, but there's a difference between that and trying to stab each other in the back.

There are lots of improvements but a few things still irk me. Firstly, the affair with Nihilius still makes his rival seem like an idiot. Not really material for an inquisitor, even one big failure like that would be enough to end that prospective carreer. This way everything still makes Callidon seem to be very much superior to Nihilius. Perhaps the rivalry has more mundane grounds, there could just be a strong mutual dislike and in training they could have had many disagreements about all sorts of things, gradually this will have escalated to the point where Nihilius considers Callidon to be leaning towards heresy, but not completely ovr the line yet, and Callidon seeing Nihilius as a close-minded fool. Even though both are effective in their own ways.

Secondly, the psyker part. If he was discovered to be a latent psyker, where did he learn to use his powers? Is he sanctioned? If so how did that get done and if not, why did the inquisitor not have him go through all the tests. Some telepath telling you that he is safe is not nearly enough for that, for instance, a psyker could also fake the devotion, letting the invading mind only see what he wants to show him or her.

Okay, I will tone it down about Nihilius. I tried to make it more of a philosophy thing wih Nihilius bieng more Monodomant.
I wrote that he was taken to the Black Ships, tested and later released to Raltus for training when they determened that he was safe enough. I'm not 100% sure how the tests and trials go, so I didn't write waht he did, just that he did it.

I really like the background, there's just a few things. Why do you kill off his mother, it's a great plot hook for him, and something you can roleplay in game. He doesn't trust any rouge traders and will usually suspect them of working for his mothers pirate organisation.

I like the story about the dark eldar, a very fitting inquisitorial move. An expendable accolyte with an obvious target on him... and appropriate use of the Death Watch  ;D

Does Nihilus make it as an =][=? Why not write Nihilus as a different warband (if you are gonna do two of them), and reveal more of his motivations (was he in on the cult and pretending to be monodominant, was he planning a move to get all the cult, which required them to start the summoning?). I'd like to see that background.

I look forward to the rest of the warband, I hope it includes a 54mm Elysian!

Now I've remade Jericus story a little. And changed his sword. I'll have a Ministorum character and in his/hers background the explanation of how he got it.
I also post one of his warband members, the grease monkey Sierra. A different take on a tech-priest. There is a lot to spellcheck, but I hope it can be understood.
Hope I don't write to much history for you guys, but I really like history.
Black Library write not nearly enough Inquisitor based novels.
I want to make it clear that I really like the revised armoury and will use it together with the rulebook.
The other members of his war band will be a female Elysian Captain and a member of the Ministorum, don't know if it should be an Aboot, Sister Dialogus, Sister Famoulus or a Priest. What do you guys think about it?
And I will make a warband for Nihilius also when I have the time.

It looks much better now, but there are some things that I would be inclined to change, the first is that I think that it would be better if the text would be more broken up into parts, as in, empty lines in between, to stop the wall of text effect.

Now to the meat of the background. How did his mother gain her warrant of trade? perhaps she was no rogue trader but merely an ordinary pirate and smuggler. Later on Star Wars is refenced a lot, this could perhaps be done slightly less obviously. It also appears to me like I said before, Jericus is a very open kind of inquisitor, a Dictator is a cruiser, a massive ship of war that can hardly be used to smuggle oneself into a system, that is not its purpose, it exists purely for war. A smaller, more agile ship or a more anonymous ship, such as a transport, would be more useful for secret operations. There are also lots of Space Marines in use, I would try to cut down on those as well, Inquisitors tend to work in the shadows while the Space Marines are a bit more obvious.

Thanks.
I'll change the text. I mean for Galatia to be a smuggler/pirate, and not a true rogue trader.
I could change his ship to be a Frigate, I want something that can defend itself if need be, and still be large enough to house everything. Maybe also change the Elysian Regement to a Elysian Company?
The time I used space marines is when there is an all out fight, but I could remove them from the battle with Galatia, and only use much more forces. But then again why try to infiltrate if you just could throw more soldiers at them? Thought it was fitting that when they knew that Galatia was there they could bring the space marines to the fight.

A frigate will still be more than powerful enough, most people who are targets for the inquisition will not even have access to space ships, and when they do they will most often have a small vessel, once someone got his or her hands on a warship they become a problem for the navy. Added to that capital ships are rare, taking one away from  the battlefleets will seriously hamper operations without giving much advantage to an inquisitor, a frigate will be more than enough for most purposes.

For the troops, a company will be enough for most occasions, a regiment is much harder to keep supplied in a way that could approach secrecy. When there is a full scale conflict requisitioning more troops will be more effective than always transporting a full regiment.

Thanks.
I changed the ship to a Frigate, and also gave Jericus a little paralyzing pain. (Skill: Nerve-poisoned)

The nerve-wrecked thing makes sense but I would try to make it somewhat less likely to occur. Right now he will suffer from it a lot of times in the game, someone with such a handicap would probably not last very long as an inquisitor. Perhaps give him a large modifier for the test?
