Title: A bit of scenery
Post by: Dolnikan on June 05, 2012, 11:34:49 AM
Recently I concluded that we needed better scenery for our games than just some random stuff we had lying around. So I set myself the task of building some things.

First, the bar with a bad reputation:

Nice, How's it fit with the bases? It's nice, but I hope to to narrow to allow everyone to move in the building.

So far everything has fitted in, models on bigger bases will probably give some trouble though.

This picture is of a game we were playing recently:

I think the laymans personal nature of a 'jiggle room' makes it far more characterful than a generic water pump station or such tbh, not that anything wrong with those, this just cultures a star wars cantina scene image which is good:)

Thank you, this is what I'm currently working on, a temple.

The front

The side:

The back:

And a top view:

There still is a lot that has to be done, there will be stained glass windows, a removable roof and all the other things that belong in a church.

First Jiggly Room, and now a temple? I love you! Here's to hoping you'll always put these right next to eachother. Also, hidden/trap door leading to a whole board of catacombs from the temple?

Dolnikan: I've posted a few links in another thread (http://www.the-conclave.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1827.msg23943#msg23943), maybe you could check them out? There's posters, boxes and stuff to print out and put on or in your buildings to make them really come alive.

I will certainly take a look at those, in the future there will be posters, I will also make a few of my own, advertising local establishments.

Cool stuff.  There aren't enough terrain threads around here.  Once I get a big enough place I'll definitely start building a proper Inquisitor table!

I look forwards to it. I played without special scenery for quite a while but now I really can't do without it anymore, it really adds a lot.
