Well I am an old Inquisitor player who has recently returned to this game after about 6 years.
I last ran a campaign in for some people in GW Braehead (near Glasgow, but shop is closed now). So was recently approached to run a campaign at my local gaming club in Clarkston, near Glasgow.
So an internet search later found the Conclave and Dark Magenta, proving that Inqisitor is still alive, lol.
Although we are heretics as we are playing at 28mm scale.

With that outof the way, there are many heretics here, I am one of them, 28mm is not as terrible as it once was.
I don't understand why it was ever terrible in the first place. It makes perfect sense if you're on a shoestring budget and/or hate working in metal.
That's a fairly easy answer. 28mm has been the host for a few cases of things like...
- "Here's my Devastator squad with powerfist Sgt and Razorback"
- "Hang on, isn't that just from your Ultramarines Army?"
... that got it a reputation for attracting the wrong kind of play. Doing that kind of thing is a lot cheaper and easier - it's often already in your 40k army - in 28mm, so those extremes of poor play never really made it to 54mm. Not that there haven't been some comparatively insane 54mm models and warbands. (Says the man with a half built 54mm Warhound)
Also, it has the misfortune of people describing it as "Inquisitor on a shoestring". :P

Well, then those people shouldn't be playing Inquisitor anyway. Or anything involving fluff or roleplaying. I'd personally just pack up and go home were I presented with that, because it's pretty clear that those people can't be trusted to put a good narrative together.
But yes, big yellow welcome (back) to Hobbzy, the bar's on your left and the dance floor's through that door over there.
As true as I feel that statement is, my opinions on whether such people should be playing Inquisitor seldom changes the fact that they have and do.
It is, however, a deciding* factor in whether you play with them, thus integrating them into your own story.
*The beer made me type this as "dedicing" at first.
and, having experienced the plastic 40k terrain, it scales well for inquisitor (http://buildyourimagination.co.uk/minis/files/terrain.jpg) thus helping with the "28mm is easier for terrain" argument...

We played our second game on Sunday (29th July). The difference we had was that we played the 1/2 inch = yard this time. We used the 1 cm = 1 yard last game and it was felt to be a bit to slow for the game.
All in all it was a good game, with two players and their warbands exploring a sewer trying to hunt down what they thought was a Purestrain Genestealer. This was there second trip into the sewer, the last time they encountered hybrids.
