Title: Update on the Rules for Toxin and Stims in Inquisitor
Post by: The Pirate Captain on August 01, 2012, 01:17:10 PM
Hey Folks,

I have been working on an an update of sorts for the rather thin rules concerning Drugs in Inquisitor

Below is a link to the page in which you can find/download these rules:

You can also find this on Warseer

EDIT:  here is version 1.1 : http://www.mediafire.com/view/?djd6rr3oteglg4m

I would much rather  these rules be enjoyable and playable and that some (hopefully all!) of you go on to using them, rather than them become just any old fan-made lore.

Cheers

I'm afraid I haven't had time yet to read this properly, but it looks good at first glance.  Why not submit it as an article to Dark Magenta?  That way people will be better able to find it and hence it's probably more likely to get used by the community.

Just a thought...

Oh and...

Welcome to the Conclave

Hey there,

I had heard of dark Magenta, but didn't realise that it was a place for posting stuff like this, unfortunately my computer won't actually go to it for some reason.

Well, I'm pretty sure there's something about not submitting articles that have been published elsewhere, so that would be why not.

Well, both of my articles started as discussions on this very forum (or, actually, it's predecessor), so would Mediafire count as publishing? And looking quickly at the Mediafire upload, it seems it would still need some work, providing a background context, and various bits of colour text and of course pictures, before it would be a DM article, so I don't think that you would say that what DM will eventually release would be identical to what we're looking at here.

It's up to the editors (assuming Pirate wants to submit it) if they want to accept it - the submission guidelines have proved somewhat flexible in the past.

A little corrective note (it's a personal pet peeve); many, many times in the article you have used affect rather than effect

Be that as it may, I may have to make use of these rules myself, they are far more in depth and varied than the main rulebook entry

Yo,

Quotemany, many times in the article you have used affect rather than effect

Yeah I was looking over it today and realised that I have made quite a lot of presentation errors such as inconsistent format for all of the Stims / Toxins.

I am also including a brief guide to the doses as I see them.

Submitting it somewhere for wider viewing would be great, does anyone know how?

cheers

Nice article.  May I suggest good old curare (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curare) for your muscle relaxant? Got to love the image of indigenous death worlders spitting poison darts at the off world explorers from their blow pipes!

You can email Saussure (our overlord) at editor@darkmagenta.co.uk with your article.  I'm sure he'd love to see it.
