Title: Good base for a Squat?
Post by: SpruferMLB on January 28, 2013, 04:28:02 PM
Basically what the subject says, I saw this on TGN and was wondering if it could work well as a Squat or some genetically altered human?

I planned on ordering several of these for precisely the purpose of making some more squats... they are very stylistically reminiscent of the Bob Olley squats from the Rogue Trader era.

It looks like a perfect base model for a squat, with a bit of work it will become a very nice squat.

If anyone finds out the height in mm, we'd know for sure.

Trick question, there is no good base for a squat. They are a fundamentally silly and awful race. [/snark]

In all seriousness though, it looks like it may be a bit on the short side given its dimensions relative to the base it's on. That said it shouldn't be too much trouble to give him a little more height in the legs/torso area. The heads look like they may be suitable for standard 54mm humans so that's a plus as there's 4 of them and I'd wager that if you trimmed the spare arms to the glove they'd fit a standard 54mm figure as well.

I'd use a 40mm round base.
