Title: CSR's inq28 warbands, npc's and random models.
Post by: CantStrafeRight on February 24, 2013, 12:40:45 AM
I've been lurking here for about a year and so far I've not really posted.   I did have another model thread here http://www.the-conclave.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2029.0 but felt it was time I made a new one that could cover everything I've been making.

I've been GMing a player VS GM campaign so I've been making lots of NPC's, but also some warbands just for fun.

Ordo Xenos Inquisitor Kovacs and warband.

When I started this group I wanted them to be a radical group.  I loved the idea that the Kovacs is a wanted man and wears an old coat and hat to hide his xenos enhancements and identity.

Possibly a hrud, possibly just a mutant, only the Kovacs knows the truth.

Magos Latov

Originally the necron parts were to go with another body but the shield was to big. I found this body in my bits box and it worked out perfect.
Techncally Alla Latov is female, but after a few hundred years her brain is the only organic part left.

MR SLASH

He's kind of the odd one out, as he has no connection to xenos.  He was a model I wanted to make and this group was a man short.
I like to think Kovacs was investigating reports of a flying creature with claws attacking gangs in a hive, and rather than finding a xenos, he found Mr Slash.  How MR Slash ended up working for the Inquisitor is another story.

nice work there, quite a powerful looking warband one way or the other.

Thanks.  I wanted something that looked powerful to players.  They are going to be a big part of the last two games of the current campaign.

Next up I have my Celthric Sector enforcer NPC's.

They are made with the space marine scouts + cadian heads with a little clipping + greenstuff.  I decided to paint them the colors of the Calixis Sector arbites, because I liked the color scheme.

They have ended up being really useful NPC, and some of my favorite games have involved them.

I'm really liking how your arbites are coming along!

Love these... Not seen Arbites built from scouts before but they really work well.

Without looking at my books to double check, I'm 90% sure the Calixis Sector Arbites just use the default Arbites colour scheme of black/red/gold (a'la their inspiration, Judge Dredd) - so it's not really a variation from the norm.

The scouts make a good conversion basis for them though certainly.

I could be wrong but I believe there is a paragraph in Dark Heresy: The Book of Judgment about different sectors having different uniforms and titles.

When I think of arbites I think of them like this normally http://orks.dylangould.com/images/2nd_edition/14/IMG_5826.jpg but it looks like it might have been retconned to be black, red and silver as standard.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter.
