Title: Aurelius' project log (54mm) WIP Daemonhost
Post by: Aurelius on October 04, 2013, 09:24:16 AM
Hi all,
Well the beginnings of my humble peoject log. Anxious to start, and still waiting on my new models to arrive, I have hit the bits box to start kit bashing. First off the ranks is a daemonhost, obviously just blu tacked together. He has wings and a propulsion unit, as wel as a super creepy single wheel which I imagine will squeak along the ground as he floats along. The wings would be mainly for show as a sign of his possession - it is the propulsion unit, added by his sponsor, will allow him to hover. Some serious pinning will be required.

Hopefully the link works, let me know if it doesn't.

Cheers

Hi,
More progress has been on my daemonhost. After much cutting and drilling, all the major components are in place. A large pin has been inserted through most of the body and jump pack, and base has been built up with a few washers for weight. While conceptually I liked the wheel, It just wouldn't fit, so the pin was disguised with guitar strings for a hanging cable Look. Next step is green stuff work to smooth out the areas which have only been roughed in so far with kneadite

Shame about the wheel as it brought the wheelers from return to Oz to mind which have always had a small space of my 'terrified of that' subconscious.

Having said that I really like how it looks, I can just imagine it flying over people in a dark and misty warehouse with its flailing cables crackling as its claws snap. Certainly evokes a very mechanised demonic imagery for me.

Look forward to seeing it develop!
