so, on the old 'clave, before it died, precinctomega raised the question of customised Conclave Dice.
i'm resurrecting the idea ;D
so, looking at EM4's prices / availability (i used 'em for my Cake Dice :D), we can get 18mm black D6, with a logo (either the 1 or the 6) in Red (white spots) for 35p each (+postage) if we order 100 (i'm assuming people would want a set of 6!).
i vote for the logo in the place of the 1 :D
so, logo ideas? ... need to be single colour and fairly simple for the laser cutter :P

Agreed. I find using a single symbol to represent 6 somewhat counter intuitive.
Yeah, I can see the appeal in it being the "big roll", but it takes me longer to recognise a symbol as a 6 rather than a one.

And that works well enough for me. Any suggestions for tweaks, I've got the .psd file - but I suspect someone else can do it a rather more snazzily than I can.
Of those two designs, I much prefer the first one.

I'd vote Heroka's design 1 or if not, the skull-I in Gav's post. Both are characterful and register as a 1 easily.

I like Heroka's first design, but it's already a little difficult to read what it says and I imagine will be even harder to read when reduced to fit onto dice.
I like the C with the skull inside, ans I vote for Green in honour of bother the old Conclave and of the Holy tomb itself.
I don't care. I'll order a bucketful of whatever design people agree on. They all look cool to me.

I'll do a slight redesign of my first idea once this week of extreme madness has passed. (uni project presentation, two reports and I'm assistant stage manager for a local amateur musical production all this week.) bleh.

The =][= logo is copyrighted, so we can't directly use it.
Bit of a shame, as I still have the set of the =][= logo D6 I have are pretty nice, but they're an actual GW product that was done early in the game's run (the downside is that a set is only five dice).

i've got a quote in with EM4 for black with a green icon for about 36p each; i'm waiting for a demo pic before i go ahead and order 100 of 'em
D10s i'm not sure on, but i seem to remember they only do D6...
They will do custom D10s, but you have to order a minimum of 1000, IIRC. Or was that Chessex?

I'm not bothered too much either way about having custom D10s, but if we can't have them then it would be nice if we could at least get D10s in the same colours as the custom D6s to make a set.
Also, what shade of green were you thinking? I had a quick look at their website but couldn't just see a sample.
after conversing with The Boss, i asked for a British Racing Green to match the old 'clave.
however, the green is almost Bright Green (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harlequin_%28color%29#Bright_green) :o
so i've gone for black 16mm with a re-edited ][ (i had an artist knock up a better one that'll look good with the laser-cutting technique) in red as the 1.
pics will follow if they do a demo peice for me (they did last time). if not then i'm hoping there'll be pics when i get the final product and hopefully they'll be available at the GT!
I don't even play anymore but I'd still love a half dozen or dozen of those d6.

Ideally i black and green, the same shades as the last iteration of The Conclave.
In the unlikely event that the D10s are viable, I'd take a few of them too...

so, the hard part. i paid £35 for 100 of 'em.
that's what i was charged total, but doesn't include bribing my artist mate into doing the logo or the mass confusion over colours (i was about to pay for red when they worked out they could do green!) :)
gonna bring 'em along to the GT, then any left after that will work out how to sell 'em.
just brought new dice, but i`ll have 10 of you if any left Gav.
