Hi everyone
I've been planning this guy for a long time. His previous incarnation was based on the penitent engine and he was a beast, however I was never really happy and decided to use the penitent engine as a basis for a praetorian.
This time tygrosa will be a magos obsessed with Necron tech and has modelled his cybernetics on necron designs. I plan on him carrying a two handed power axe incorporating a built in converted Necron Gauss Flayer.
Here is an initial picture of my progress so far

As always all C&C welcome.

Interesting start. I look forward to seeing it evolve.

Is that body a 54mm pewter Robocop? Thats pretty awesome. Looking great so far.
It's Technocop by Andrea Miniatures - not Robocop at all! ;)
I've used it a couple of times, once for a high ranking Skitarii and the second time for a Necron Pariah, so I'd say that it's perfect for a character who's based his body on the design of Necron tech.
I'm liking the beard.
looking good :)
you gonna add robes (http://ex-chao.deviantart.com/art/Non-in-corpo-veritas-est-1-5-88308610)?
nice head arrangement, always a fan of the madly bionic faces on AdMech
Hi all,
Finally got round to making some more progress on my magos. Heres some pictures (sorry in advance if they're a bit dark):

I initially not sure if the shoulder pads are a little on the large side. Same with the shape of the axe/halbard blade.
Please everyone I need guidance so all C&C welcome.

Very nice work so far - I like what you've done with his robes. I do think the shoulder pads are a touch too big - large shoulder pads are very common in 40k, but I think you could trim a millimetre or two off these and they'd still be good. I really love the design of the halberd, but I'd say it is definitely too big, it looks more like it's been built for a 75mm character - I vote you keep the style but make a smaller version.
I like the shoulder pads just as they are (if he took them from a Necron, they would look a bit big on a human, yes?)
I do think that the halberd is overly large (in every dimension.) I like the design very much though.
I really like the work that you have done on his head and robes. I am very much looking forward to seeing it finished.
the face is shaping up well - like the goggle eyed look. The shoulder plates are quite large, but necrons do have some rather prominent shoulderplates. the halberd looks cool, but does need scaling down.
I love the shoulder pads. Very nice work. I agree with the others, though, that the weapon seems improbably outsized, even for the Dark Millennium.

Halberd needs to be much smaller. The height is a bit tall, but okay, especially if you are going from the looted/copoed from a necron idea, but the blade really makes it too cartoony.
Thank for the advice guys.
I've cut the halberd down so I believe that the hieght is about right now. the blade has been remodelled and I think thats about right too.

Thanks again, will post mor WIP pictes soon.

That mini looks truly fantastic. I think you really got the proportions right with the axe when you redid it. Can't wait to see this one finished up.
I agree - that looks great now.
the addition of the mesh to the handle is a good one, adds detail to the shaft without detracting from the axe head
Hi all
After such a long hiatus between posts I thought I would show the progress that I've made. literally did this last night but I'm more then happy with him now. Just one or two tweaks here and there and I will start painting.

Those are some amazing hands... Jealousy seethes within me...
Do you need my mailing address to send him? ;D
Ha ha! I love the model! As to oversized parts, I have always accepted the cartoonish nature of GW, who wants real life?
Brilliant job. Now get painting!
