Just finished up a new 54mm sculpt for Eolith. Might be of some use as raw materials. Figure is one piece with separate cat and base.

Not sure, she's just the way I wanted to sculpt her. Pretty pleased with how she turned out. Oh, and she should be on sale in a few weeks.

I take it she'll be priced the same as the other smaller 54mm female sculpts? I think you can put me down for a pre-order regardless though ;)
What's on the horizon next? I love your female sculpts, but your male sculpts do it for me - as a proud owner of your entire range, I'd personally love to see more freaky ghoulish models more akin to Frankie and Dracula.
Curiously, I was thinking about the whole male/female divide of Steve's figure range earlier, and while it's obviously female dominated, that's no bad thing given the male dominated GW Inquisitor line.
I might be more inclined to include female characters than most, but I doubt I'm entirely alone in wanting to put some ladies in my warbands...
As an odd coincidence, one of the armatures sitting on my modelling table is waiting to be turned into a model of a reasonably similar appearance (although not pose) to this. I'll not do it anywhere near as much justice as this, but I can't expect to compete with a man who's both a professional and a genius*.
*Damn, combine those, and it sounds like a fun job. "And what do you do?" "I work as a professional genius." "Oh, and what does that involve?" "It involves getting money for being very smart."
I'm expecting her to be £16.50, the same as most of my other 54mm Eolith sculpts.
I enjoy sculpting the male subjects too but they just don't sell as well. The females outsell them at least 2:1. With it taking a lot of work to sculpt a 54mm figure, I usually try to stick to what will maximise my sales (while trying to sculpt something interesting too).
I'd love to sculpt the Wolfman, or a zombie but the sales would not be so great. And I need to eat once in a while...
I thought it would be something like that, but I didn't realise the females oustripped the males that much! Well keep one of those aside for me when they do go up on sale, and I eagerly look forward to your next one! Any ideas what it might be yet?

Hullo Steve. I saw mentions of polymer clay elsewhere. That's it, I take it? Looks like you took to it well. :)
D'you mind if I ask what brand and type of clay?
Yes, I sculpted this fig partially in polymer clay. The slightly yellowy grey bits (mostly the body and the arm going to her hip) are a 50/50 mix of Super Sculpey Firm and Fimo Classic Champagne. The rest of the fig (the pure grey bits) are Procreate. Haven't yet gotten the hang of sculpting a face in poly clay.
The Sculpey Firm/Classic Fimo combo works well for me as its stays put quite well without quivering but the slightly waxy nature of the Fimo gives it a slightly more greenstuff feel which is less of a culture shock for me.
I'm in love! I want two. One to add to the other Eolith girls I'm going to make into an all-female warrior band and one to paint in a see-through dress...
