I was just wondering if anyone knew what one looked like? I was thinking of converting the Arbites Judges' Shotgun into one, and i remember that GW had released a Bolter pack, though i don't remember anything in it that wasn't familiar. I was wondering if anyone knew what one looks like? Or at least knew of pieces that could be used as one.
i always imagined it as a bolter with a stock, foldable or not.
one of my friends built one years ago and has already sold it, so i can`t show it here.
it was made of the stock of the lasgun and the boltpistol with the second grip under the nose.
looked nice and suited well to his enforcer.
hope this could help.
The bolt carbine is a compact version of the boltgun. As with all Imperial weapons it appears in a wide variety of forms but all have in common a reduced rate of fire and smaller basic magazine. It straddles the gap between the standard bolter and the bolt pistol.
One of the bolt weapons in the bolt weapons booster pack was intended to be a carbine, but wasn't noticeably smaller than the rest of the bolters in the same pack.
R.
You get two sorts of carbines.
Rifle carbines - which are basically shorter rifles, and pistol carbines, which are basically pistols with a stock and sometimes a longer barrel.
My suggestion would be to model it as a pistol style carbine - take a bolt pistol, and give it some kind of stock. Personally, I think that bolters should probably have stocks anyway, particularly ones intended for use by normal humans - but sometimes common sense seems to be lacking in the 40k universe.
Common sense would be regarded as heresy in the 40K universe ;)
And we must BURN THE HERETICS! Nobody expects the Imperial Inquisition! (http://www.servantsoftheimperium.com/comic/index.php?comicid=51)
Anyway, I would say yes, do the pistol-like one, but with a longer barrel. Tempus fugitives did rules in 40k for las and bolt carbines in their Cult Mechanicus Codex.
Hmm...las carbines...
as lasgun but range A, mode single, shots 40, weight 20...
uh, mind wandered...never mind, carry on...but yeah, good idea.
Kaled's model has a bolt carbine looking thing.
