Title: New Gw Daemons have potential

Prince looks like he's on a 60mm base, might be a good Chaos Marine!

I'll have to take a closer look, I'm not completely sold on the DP model.  We'll see what options then end up with.

The Changeling is hideous, though Fateweaver looks like he might be perfect for a Tzeentchian daemon or at the very least a good source of Tzeentch bits and reasonably scaled feathered wings.

So they've finally unveiled everything in it's final state, despite designing them 2 years ago  >:(

All the same - I'm more hoping that they release both the fantasy and 40k Daemon Prince models in plastic (the fantasy one is definitely plastic, pics of that with umpteen options have been floating round the web for absolutely yonks), as if anything I think the fantasy DP has more potential for chaos parts in Inquisitor.

Sorry to go non-Inquisitor related here, but what the HELL have they done to the horrors??  :(

I think you'll find the fantasy and 40k plastic daemon princes are the same figure. You get a lot of options in the kit.

Would anyone be able to repost the link, all i'm getting from that one is the GW site front, and then i can't find anything from there...except Orks, there's lots of Orks about.

Pretty sure GW have pulled the page. Wasn't supposed to be publicly available as the daemon figs aren't out for three months yet and they do like to keep things under wraps until just a few weeks before release.

Alas, I fear that someone on the web team's job may be in peril come Monday...

Or it may have been done deliberately to pique interest...

That daemon Prince is Sexy, i do agree that a Chaos warband led by a heavily mutated Chaos Marine may be in order. Dammit, this is the fourth one i've started planning! DAMN YOU SUMMER AND YOUR MUSE, DAMN YOU TO HELL!

I do think the Horrors are a little...Slaaneshi...

hmm... I suppose if it's on a 60mm base then it may well be similar to the VenDread in having tonnes of options on two frames.

Same price as well no doubt though  ::)

EDIT: looking again, they've both got the same set of legs, so you're probably right.

Actually, if they are on a 60mm, then with a little bit of straightening it has the potential to be a perfect Inq Bloodletter.

pic of the "fantasy" DP for comparison:

With the 2nd wave (part 1) of daemons going up for advanced order, the plastic Daemon Prince kit has at last been unleashed fully.

Only 2 sprues and a £20 price from GW.

I'm still against the new Horrors though, (http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1290193a_99129915006_PinkHorrors40k1MPPK_873x627.jpg) I think it's the faces more than anything  :(

Price isn't too bad, might be a while though before I amass a squad of possesed Marines!

2nd Wave part 2 has gone up on the site, with a pleasant surprise for all included in a another plastic kit.

Kairos Fateweaver (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440004a&prodId=prod900114a)

metal obviously, but as that's a 60mm base, comparable to the normal Lord of Change model and great potential for Inquisitor usage.

Multi-part Plastic Bloodcrushers of Khorne (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440004a&prodId=prod900116a)

While perhaps less useful as-is, I can see great potential for creative uses of a lot of the Juggernaut parts.

The new Daemon Prince, which is blissfully plastic with tons of options, looks perfect for a CSM possessed conversion, or at least a heavily mutated CSM, I can totally see chaos-ifying the Artemis Space Marine legs from =][= to fit the chaos daemon prince's torso with the 40K options (the formerly CSM chestplate and daemonically mutated backpack....wings.. whatever those exhaust vent things are on CSM backpacks) and properly tooled up with one of the three close combat weapons available in the Daemon Prince Kit and a suitably appropriated boltgun.

Am I the only person who likes the new horror models? o.o I personally love the look of them overall, although I do miss the randomness of the metal ones, especially the look of blue horrors crawling their way out of the pink's mouths and such. As for the other models, I'm super psyched for the seekers of Slaanesh and Khorne Bloodcrushers (seriously....'bout damn time, paying $30 for a single metal one was bloody ridiculous).

The horrors look like they'd be great fun to assemble! However, knowing my twisted imagination they'd all end up as a single horrible, twisted nightmarish creature! Hang on a minute.. I think I have a plan... ;)
