As i said in the other thread, i'm in this entirely for the fun, I wouldn't expect to be considered a serious competitor because sculpting isn't really where my talents lie. Still, it's a challenge and it gives me a goal to work towards, so considering the fact that greenstuff and I really don't get along, I'm fairly pleased with it. I don't want it to be my final or only entry, so long as i can maintain patience and concentration, i'll try to do one or two more for the sake of a challenge.
Anyway, now i'm through making excuses, here's my work. Feel free to tear into it (metaphorically!), as I would like to try and improve my sculpting abilities.

The straw was to get that sort of corrugated metal they have on rebreather canisters and obviously the guitar wire is for the hose. I've still got to smooth the greenstuff out where the hose meets the caninster and i'm waiting for this layer to dry before i smooth out with the new layer.
All comments/criticism welcome.
Mmmmm what an interesting turn of events. I was just about to make a gas mask for a current WIP. So definitly up for this.

EDIT: 'Def u' is what happens to your english skills when you get only 4 hours sleep in 2 days ;D
Bloody hell! Considering as you say this is not your forte and that you knocked it up in lightening speed :P that is fantastic, very creepy looking as well, and as your making more, I wouldn't be so quick to rule yourself out tbh. Lovely stuff, gas masks can be damn creepy...
It'd be good for a Nurgle worshiping traitor, kind of reminds me of a fly's head.
Thanks very much for the comments. If everyone or indded anyone wants to use this thread for their attempts, that's fine. I don't know whether you all want to do this in one thread or in separate threads for each person, but if you want them all in one thread, feel free to post them here.
EDIT: also, not entirely sure what 'def u' means :P
good show 8)
what i would look at tho, is next time, wet your sculpting tool and try to smooth out some of those fingerprints; any moulding process will duplicate 'em on the final cast!
plus with regard to the eyes; i'd have made the head, let it dry and slapped a bit of Greenstuff onto the head and used the same technique there; this would have given a raised visor; usually they are attached to the mask and not part of it...
but great work for such a short space of time! ;D

"Are you my mummy?"
Exactly what I was thinking. I have been slightly afraid of British children ever since that episode of Doctor Who . . .
Well heres my first attempt at a gas mask head, I will actually be using this for a character too! Well, maybe...
