Hey all, just looking for a bit of clarification on the background regarding imperial Seers. Is there any such thing other than powerful psykers, and if so, how common are they and exactly how much can they see? Specifically, how plausible is a non-psyker character who, through the grace of the emperor, has been granted a low level of prescience and/or the (also limited) ability to sense people's intentions?
There are Imperial Tarot readers, though most of them seem to be psykers of various low levels - sub-Astropath, it seems. As well as the Tarot, there's various forms of scrying, from bonecasting to reading the steam from recaf mugs.
Not entirely helpful, but eh Dark Heresy Radical's Handbook spends a bit of time discussing Divination and the different methodologies employed in the Calixis sector, some of which are sanctioned.
