Nice models, though I'm uncertain about the scavenged power armour concept.
Hah, yeah, the power armour. Well, a friend had me sold a box of bitz, which included some Tau legs, weapons, and a tank commander. However, there were no torsos for the legs :P, so I improvised with some Space Marines bitz. Though it doesn't have to be power armour, I could just count it aa thick carapace armour.
The fluff behind the Tau is that it is a sort of 'Gerald Durrel/ Steven Irwin' team, scouting the galaxy for fresh subjects for the Greater Good.
"Oh my gosh, a fully-grown Space Marine! How fasinating!"

"Help!"

I can imagine that now - "Aw, now this Space Wolf's looks a bit grumpy. Let's grab him with a forked bamboo stick and a bit of string!" Steve Irwin is a great inspiration for a character! ;D
