I've very nearly finished my Tau and Kroot Mercenary warband. After painting 72 40k firewarriors some years ago in the same farsight scheme, I never thought I'd paint another, but I really enjoyed this model!
Farsight seemed like a good option, with their renegade nature, they're far more likely to be involved in subtifufge and small skirmishes. They also can in game terms, not be utterly useless in mele combat.
Continuing with the Xenos theme, I picked up a few andrea warlord minis including Sulnar Burning Wind, who with simply the addition of a 40k shuriken catapault glued on their belt makes a perfect Warlock.
Andrea minis are pricy, but very nice sculpts, objectively better than the old GW 54mms, especially the female faces. Scale wise they're pretty good. I intend to grab one more to complete this warband and I have my eye on a few others for other projects.
Along with the warlock I ordered Luriel Sacred Fist. I thought about increasing his strength level with some sort of ornate power weapon, but the flail was too unique and cool to not use. So I simply traded his shield for a stub pistol with some conversion work on the left hand and settled on this.
He's as tall as the Eldar, so a bit taller than human inq 54mm miniatures.
If I ever get round to making a character sheet for him, I think I'll make him incredibly skilled to make up for his very normal war gear. Anyone that looks this cool shouldn't be a pushover!

I got a little further along with the painting
I find myself setting myself too many barriers for entry these days, fancy brushes and hours of wet blending, glazes and a using wet palette, it puts me off picking up a brush.
If I stick to the basics, grab a scruffy old brush, simply work from a small blob of paint, I get fairly pleasing results in less than an hour of painting.
I must keep this in mind and stop putting up barriers between me enjoying a hobby I still love.
It would be nice to finish a good few more 54mm figures this year.

The Mechanicus Locus to lead the warband I'm working on.
I'm a bit rusty with painting after such a long break from the hoby, but I'm fairly happy with the end result.
Next up, my own rendition of the somewhat famous ogryn gun servitor, seen out of focus in the background of the last photo.
Im very happy with the conversion, not an exact copy, though I think I prefer my slightly more paired version to the origional from the rulebook.

While we often refer to the entourages of Inquisitors as "warbands", The Conclave is a community built around Games Workshop's tabletop miniatures wargame "Inquisitor" (set within their Warhammer 40000 universe), and we have no association with Mount and Blade or other related computer games.

I've been around the Mount & Blade modding scene for a while, mostly tinkering with small tweaks and learning from the amazing work shared here. Warband's modding flexibility is what keeps pulling me back—whether it's adjusting troop trees or messing with scene props.
Outside of modding, I'm into a mix of things that probably sound familiar to this crowd: gaming (obviously), some casual coding, and outdoor stuff like hiking , camping, and rc planes. Also have a soft spot for history books and medieval reenactment, which pairs nicely with M&B's vibe.
Currently poking at a minor faction overhaul mod—nothing groundbreaking, just for fun. If anyone's worked with diplomacy-related scripts, I'd love to hear your tricks.
Anyway, cheers to all the modders here. The creativity in this community is unreal.
