I should be there.

I don't know whether to use one of my existing teams or if I'll have time to finish the new version of Isabella...

Tickets booked.
No escape.
Well, egregious wastage in case of escape, anyway.

I was planning on getting House Nepotem ready for the show, but they are decidedly obviously not GW-based toys, and are in fact obviously literally toys dressed up as grown up minature objet d'art.

I'm not sure whether I'm speedpainting a scum gang led by a deep undercover Interrogator infiltrator, or bringing the AdMech team we all know and... are familiar with.
Or both, and decide as each table appeals.

Codex
Warhammer World, Saturday 24th June 2023

+++++INCOMING TRANSMISSION+++++

Brothers and Sisters,

The Inquisitors of the Carthax sector are called to congregate upon Tigguo Cobauc, and form a council to decide upon the use of the recently recovered Grallus Codex.

It must be collectively decreed whether this artefact will be deployed as a first strike in the Carthax Sector's holy crusade into the Alykia sector, whether it shall be placed into the Conclave's vaults, or whether this technology is deemed tainted by Abominable Intelligence.

- M

+++++TRANSMISSION TERMINATES+++++

Sorry about being late getting out this event pack, but we are still on track for an event later this month!

This particular narrative actually follows on from the earlier events of The Saint (back in 2011), Legacy (in 2018), and indeed a Dark Heresy campaign that span off it (but you won't need to know the specifics of that!), looking into the first stages of the Carthax Sector's crusade into its fallen neighbour, the Alykia Sector.

Event Pack

Currently, we have enough tables for twelve attendees. The event is not strictly ticketed, but priority will be given on a first-come basis to those who have told the organiser in writing that they're attending. If you later can't attend, or think you may have to drop out, please notify me as soon as possible.

Hi,

I hope I can boost again the work on this, at this days I'm very busy with job and a new project opening a wargaming/3dprint studio here in Panama City. The first agenda after launching will be to create content for Sistema28/Inq28 with cinematic scenarios and original characters.

I was reading Acolyte, a narrative Inq28 mod for Kill Team. The solo/coop campaign is based on Five Parsecs from Home, I guess. I like the shooting system of KT and the movement based on templates. And lot of new people is entering wargaming via KT, and their mind is thinking more in templates than in measure tape.

QuoteNot a bell curve.

A bell curve using dice requires that it be two dice added together, as per examples.

I was reading the site, now I understand better Bell Curves. I was thinking in a way that puts more probabilities on having your maximum number of actions per turn. How do you think you can introduce Bell Curves in action rolls? Would be nice to contact Solnacht for asking about their way.

QuoteGood too see you're continuing the work on this project. My comment about copyright was only a sort of warning

Thanks a lot, of course the Kickstarter gave more pressure to this project. And finally for nothing, because at the state of the development the game is moving away form the original. In aesthetics and mechanics, we were thinking to change name to Rogue28 because the ambient was moving more to a Rogue Traders focus instead of Inquisitors... but well, Kickstarter was failed and nobody from GW mind about it. It will remain in the DIY indie scene, and in a form of crossover between classic games and modern ones, I guess.

Painting and Modelling / Re: New Year, New Sculpting Lo...

Hi everyone! I was out of the hobby for a while, but recently I got back to doing a little sculpting on some of the miniatures I was working on a few years ago and busted out the paint again as well. Here are some of the (almost finished) sculpts:

--++-- Preacher Brother Sergius --++--

--++-- Hive scum --++--

--++-- Hive Worker --++--

Not completely happy with this one: the head is decidedly too small for this scale. I think it makes him look too lanky. The fabric was done with paper and superglue + pva.

I finalized the paintjob on this older model with some oil paints, getting a larger contrast with deeper shadows. Its my first time trying to apply my experience with oil paints to miniatures and Im really liking the effect, especially considering I wasn't completely happy with the sculpt. I'm also getting into using AK Interactive "weathering" enamels, which have a really cool dusty, matte effect sometimes. Painting miniatures again also gave me some clues on how to sculpt in a way that's most conducive to the regular painting techniques, or the scale of certain texture etc.

--++-- Underhive Scavenger --++--

I also bought a model from GW for the first time in more than 10 years, to try and partice some more oil techniques, doing a strong contrast with orange/yellow OSL and deep blueish shadows. Needs some finishing touches but thought I'd share.

I also tried painting my spooky deamonhost sculpt, spent a few hours on it but I didnt like my work: I wanted a more light, blueish tone in both the skin as the ropes. When I decided to strip the paint and pulled the model out of the stripper, it looked pretty close to what I wanted! Huh.... I think I'll put a bit more white primer on the base and zenithally on the model and see if with a little glazing the model might work.

--++-- Furcifus, Lesser Daemon of Nurgle --+++

Let me know what you think! I'm also thinking about picking up my old plan of sculpting and casting some mini's specifically for any 54mm players that are still left and want to get some characters/bits to play with. I'd like to find out what type of characters people would most like to see me sculpt and cast.

After a bit of a mess that went:

Me: I would like to book three tables, expecting 8-10 people on the day.
WHW: I've booked you for one table, would you like a second as you've got so many people?

... we are now booked for three tables for the 24th of June. I will try to get an event pack available soon!

So it looks like I had things wrong anyway as the wrong team was down as being in this weekend. So I am off on the 24th. Fingers crossed that there is still space available.
