the cards are from the last page HERE - 51 cards worth, a mix of weapons (the 52nd is a Neural Disruptor) , a pic from the rulebook with the weapon stats

i didn't enforce Encoumbrance rules as didn't really affect anything - i'd have on hte fly sdaid each guy can carry 2 additional weapons to what their sheet says - we could assume straps / pouches / carrier bags could be scrounged

aye, sumaki's brother RPed Jacob's rants and boistrous mentality well and the crew were all butchered from sumaki's perfect dice rolls in the perfect times :)

Sounds great! I love the idea of weapons/wargear cards (as a vet of 40K 2nd edition, the concept warms my heart) and I have a bunch of those munitorum containers laying around

This matches neatly with my experiences witnessing the good Inquisitor Jacob at work - he's an enthusiastic manager of unfortunately incompetent boobs. I'm oerfectly sure if he was working with better tools the outcome would be greatly improved. No doubt about it.
I think during Great Excavations, the game I ran first thing, Crusader Kai also charged in and immediately suffered an utterly crippling would, Coteaz made impressive moves with measurable impact on target, and Jacob harangued his hopeless henchmen horribly from the safety of hard cover.
Stanley performed his job with admirable thoroughness and singleminded focus though, so there's a definite winner on the team.

The Sumaki squad performed as admirably efficiently in stealing totally legitimate goods from your traders as they did secret tech from my poor archaeologist.
Sumaki himself led a spirited negotiation for the prize and then de-limbed an apparent attacker, apprehended promptly by the (promptly amputated) boot of Silas, and overwatched by Jenna, while Magnox got on with the real work.

In the Field / I'd Buy That For A Credit - IGT2022 Scenario
« Last post by greenstuff_gav on March 13, 2022, 12:00:09 PM »
This year's scenario was something i've been thinking about, mainly altering concepts like all warbands atarting in separate corners and spending a couple of turns getting to the action
to this end, i had sumaki and his brother investigating a market place, looking for Xenos tech
the scenario pack is HERE

I used the weapons cards i made for a previous GT for when they passed a check, they'd get a gun - unfortunately Sumaki ended up with a dozen different lasguns and a dodgy plasmapistol!
heres hte NPC merchants - i had decided hte last one to hand out a weapon would be the one with hte xenos gun

And i used the container with some holes cut out as my weapon-shops

The hab-lights were dimming as the teams investigated the market - these low level tech-guard finishing up selling various bits of tat and equipment for th cycle
While Trader Sumaki haggled at one stall, Acolyte Cotez was at hte other end, pleading with the trader for something "More exotic"

While Adept Magnox joined sumaki in complaining about a Cracked Lasgun, Silas and Jenna began meandering toward a different stall

Meanwhile Crusader Kai joined Coteaz as Inquisitor Jacob stormed into hte market place shouting how disapointed he was in the time his team were taking to investigate these stalls

Sumaki's team, hearing the inquisitior's rants, converged on the last stall - Gunfighter Jenna physically lifting the trader demanding "any dodgy stuff"

The trader, scared by the inquisitor and being surrounded by heavily armed warriors, handed over a Neural Disruptor, claiming it came in a job lot
Inquisitor Jacob's crew spotted this and began pointing it out to the Inquisitor mid-rant
As Crusdaer Kai rushed toward the trader, Adept Magnox drew the dodgy plasmapistol he had aquired and blasted the crusader straight in the face, vapourising the one part hnot covered by his massive shield
In response, Acolyte Coteaz drew an overpowered hellgun and put a round straight through Sumaki's abdomen while screaming for his servitor, Stanley to grab the trader

Gunfighter Silas drew his pistols and put a round critically through Coteaz's head without a pause

whiile Inquisitor Jacob made a hasty retreat, screaming how the Heretics would pay for thier crimes, Sumaki's crew began pulling the trader away for questioning while trying to fend off  Servitor Stanley's instance on following the trader...

In the Field / The Ongoing Search - IGT22 report
« Last post by greenstuff_gav on March 13, 2022, 11:38:18 AM »
The outer world of Galaden VI, thought lost but in the process of folding back into the Imperium of Man
"A mixture of Tech-Hive and badland outpost, a blend of rusted scrapyard and dense urban populations. Due to lack of resource laws have less meaning here and locals make a living from trading salvage and scrap with each other." Tech Adept Stein's voice droned over the flyer hovering above the dusty scrapland
"Yes, we've both read the report" Tech Adept Liwet sighed. "shall we get this done?" her optics clicked and whirred as they attempted to duplicate her eyes rolling
"Fine. wherever this meissing team is, we need that dataslate" Stein retorted before dropping out of the flyer's hatch, his heavy bionics absorbing the impact from the fall without issue.
Liwet dropped much softer, checking hte replacement dataslate was easily extracted rom her heavy robes

They had a rough map of the area but no real idea of where the missing team had ended up.
*I'll take the vantage point* Stein transferred over the data-link, knowing dusks low light wouldn't really affect either of the Adepts
Liwet evaded to the base of the tower, heavy pistol drawn to cover Stein

As Stein laboured up t he ladder, Liwet continued to scout, investigating the sound of servo-skulls and their irregular data-pings
As she turned the corner, Liwet encountered an ornatley dressed individual
"Adept Liwet, Adeptus Mechanicus." Liwet called out "Are you from the missing team?"
"No, we are also here to determine their fate" The trader called back

as Stein scanned the area, he saw a corpse slayed out above the pair - an sub-ork chewing at the body
*We have a xenos eating someone above you* Stein transferred a vid-feed direct to Liwet

"We have Xenos!" Liwet called out the trader who began voxing her own team

As Liwet raised her pistol and moved toward cover, one of the Trader's team reached the platform first and opened up on full auto - las shots scattering out across the night
The trooper was rewarded by the vicous squig launching itself at her juglar, knocking hte warrior to the floor
Liwet prepared to climb up to assist when another squig leapt off another platform, latching itself into Liwet's heavily armoured boot

the Trader evaded off to rejoin the rest of her team as soudns of a gunfight echoed form the other side of the compound, Stien's augmentics tracking the conflict while he tried to draw a shot on the squig attacking Liwet
Liwet placed the barrel of her pistol against the furious creature and let loose, as the rounds tore gouges out of it's hide it scratched at her arm as it perished
While Trader's team disappeared into the night, the Tech Adepts investigated the area and found the tracking information for the previous team's objectives.

"There is an Ultramarine presence here?" Liwet questioned asa the pair searched through the data
"No - there are orders from the Primarch." Stein quickly enabled his tracker "Regardless, we must ensure the technology is recovered"
"These orders have no doubt circulated" Liwet mused " There will be those who would subvert such a mission"
Stein smiled as he checked his carbine "we will aid where needed"

The pair had soon enough encountered hte armoured convoy - reduced to a single Razorback that needed serious maintenance

"Follow us, we will recon the area" Stein voxed to the lone driver of the Razorback

Taking the high  ground again, Stein's augmentics rendering the pitch night as clear as day

However, as the transport began to move it spluttered and stalled, grinding to a halt
Liwet began totrudge back toward the vehicle, her years as an Enginseer would give her the better opportunity to aid the machine-spirit

While her hurried ministrations and  calming nature aided the Razorback's spirit, Stein continued his overwatch - his augmentic hearing picking up an odd clanking noise from hte area of an old power-lifted parked nearby

as he scanned the area a large servitor clamped his way through the chainlink fence and began clmaping toward the razorback

While hte servitor managed to clamp itself to the tracks, the transport began moving and nearly crushed the servitor under it's damaged tracks
The servitor managed to move aside just in time, reavealing itself to Liwet

Meanwhile, a dashing man vaulted into the Sentinel and moved it to intercept the Razorback
[/img]http://buildyourimagination.co.uk/gallery/inquisitor/gt2022/13.jpg[/img]

As Stein began to move to vault into hte Sentinel, an albino opened fire at hte Tech Adept - while most of hte shots went wide, a few landed before the weapon spluttered and died
Stein, infurated, charged toward the warrior and attemptedt o kick the pale perosn off the side of the platform

As the warrior attacked with a knife, Stein carefully stepped back and swung his axe in a wide arc - the imact making a mess of the warrior's chest and pitching him off hte side of hte platform into a wet impact into the dust

Meanwhile, the servitor continued to pull at the transports rear hatch, leaving Liwet perfect opportunity to unload several rounds to interrupt the furous clamping - the electrical rounds knocking the servitor over
as she watched however, there was atearing noise and the dashing gentleman appeared with a Displacer Shunt behind the razorback, not noticing the Adept and instead going for hte entrance hatch to the transport.
with a sigh, Liwet aimed carefully and put a shock round straight into the gentlemen's head, leaving him in the dust

Stein leapt onto the sentinel and began manovering the walker to pull the razorback toward the repair station...

Grand old day out, so it was.
Really great to match some old names to new faces, and see some entirely new folks.

Highlights for me include:

Inquisitor Jacob leaving his servitor to collapse a building on itself after being instruced to multimelt open the bunker door (followed by the wall, and then the structural girders...)

Saul, under attack from hetetic forces unknown, took cover from teh hail of bolt shells behind the red barrel... And after surviving that explosion hiding behind... a different red barrel.

Inquisitors Andaini and Brutus, having finally reeled in their hair-trigger henchmen, reaching an amicable agreement that it was probably best to just utterly slaughter these civilians, just in case they really were all dissidents.

Thanks again for the cat herding and nerd wrangling, Marco, it was great day out.
Pleasure travelling with you - unfortunately my brain hit standby mode a little earlier in the journey home than I'd expected, so I wasn't holding up my end of the conversation, but I'm glad I saved the Arvus.

Thanks to all who came today. Ultimately, we had 11 participants, and I think three spectators.

As far as the rankings:

- The Best Gamesmastering category was won by Greenstuff Gav
- The Best Player category was won by RobSkib
- Best Hobbyist was, likewise, won by RobSkib.

Third place went to Hammond
Second place to Greenstuff Gav
And, unsurprisingly with wins in two categories, and being behind Gav by just a point in the GMing, RobSkib took the overall crown.

The Inquisition quiz was not needed to break ties in any of these categories, but I'll go through the submissions some time soon and reveal the correct - and some of the most entertainingly wrong - answers.

I will also thank TheNephew for being my travelling companion, and saving me from accidentally leaving the Arvus on the train...

tested clear so leaving now :)
