help me create a balanced deamonhunter

Seeing that my first proper character pretty much sucked,and ive just recieved my fist inquisitor character through the post (deamonhuntress),im asking the members of the conclave,to help me create this character,ideas,background is more than welcome!!!

To create a balanced daemonhuntress, she'll need a backpack full of lead weights, otherwise she'll be pretty front heavy...

... oh wait, you didn't mean like that. My mistake.

Well, I'm happy to help, but you've at least got to give us something to work with - something to start with. A personality trait, some past event, some companion. One, two, maybe three ideas we can work out from. Otherwise, we'd just be writing our own characters, not helping you with yours.

i want her story to be tied into that of Thelios,so that i can create a campaign with them,something along the lines that she was one of many refugees that escaped the hive before the deamon spawn reached it,or possibly trapped in a part of the hive,attacked by the zombies,and her faith in the 'sky god',holds her own and the thelios takes her on in his own warband,then escapes when she realises whats happening to him,or already part Thelios warband,and escapes or something along them lines!

I want her to be very much the Archetypical type of inquisitor,who believes what she is doing is for the good of the imperium,even if it means using deamonhosts and the such............

Now that i know i can go to the IGT,i figured i best get my skates on with  my inquisitor...............

Helena Kayne was born into the elite of society,on the hive world Miridia Prime,her father was a high ranking officer in the Miridian Guard,an elite and prestigious regiment that had fought on many different worlds and won glory for the name of the emperor.Given that her father was a favourite of the planetery govener,everyone expected Helena to skip her time in the guard,suprising everyone,she joined,and not only did she perform her duties as expected,she out-performed her squad mates,which brought her promotion after promotion.

While a squad leader,she led her squad against invading eldar,as platoon sargeant,she succesfully defeneded an imperial compound againts hordes of cultist,this is where he first encounted a priest named Vannon,it is from here that they would be inseprable friends.Captain is as far as she would go in the regiment,as when the Miridian guard where deployed en masse on the planet Iradius IX,that things started to change...........

Iradius IX had been invaded by the Glorious Host,a slaaneshi warband following the Arch-perverter of valios,after days of bitter fighting the Glorious host broke off from the fighting and abbandoned the remaining hosts of cultists and mutants to their fates.With the fighting all but over,the regiment celebrated their victory and the dead with over the top excess,captured cultists were perverted and mutilated,disgusted by her comrades actions,she went to her fathers headquaters to demand that the celebrations be stopped immediatedly so that order could be restored.

Upon entering her fathers headquaters,she bore witness to her father slaughtering his entire staff with a rapier that glimmered everytime its edge touched the flesh of his victims,her father moved far faster,than his body should have let him.
Seeing his daughter enter,he left his last victim and charged,letting out a blood curling scream,lunged at his daughter,as much as she could,Helena tried defending herself,always with a prayer to the emperor on her lips,but with warp spawned stregnth,she could not hope to win,her 'fathers' blade eventually found fles,but instead of glowing brightly,it let out a scream that deafened evereyone within miles,just as her father tried to pull the blade free,he fell limp as a huge warhammer found its mark on the officers head,at this point,Helena's world started to go black..................


When she awoke,Vannon had described everything that had happened,her father had been corrupted by the blade,which had been captured from the defeated enemy,he destroyed anyone that was not loyal to him and rewarded any that was,What helena had witnessed was the final bloodletting before,a deamon of great power could be released upon the world,helena had disrupted the plans,and with her faith in the emperor had held the deamon within the sword,and it had been Vannon that had delivered her fathers deathblow,and tooks her body to the last remaining loyal bastion,he told her that even while in a coma like state,she was somehow praying.
after days of defending the bastion with a handful of soldiers,a small shuttle descended onto the landing pad,and a group of wariors descended,instructing vannon carry helena onto the shuttle,upon the embarktion,it took off to the waiting battleship.

The individual that had rescued them was Inquisitor Alexas Xi'chung of the Ordo malleus,with operatives on the ground they had relayed what had happened,and upon seeing the extent of the great enemey's treachery,she orderd Exterminatus immediatley,wipping the planet from the galaxy,so that no-one could bear witness to its many horrors.

Upon hearing vannons and her operatives accounts of what had happened,she inducted helena and vannon into her retinue,teaching them about the great enemy and how to defeat them,after 2 decades in the tutelage of the inquistor,helena had been granted full inquisitor status,along with vannon,as her bodyguard,headed for the eye of terror to join the fight against Abadons !3th black crusade.


With a prayer on her lips,helena  fights deamons anywhere and everywhere,taking no chances on the infecting others and therefore preventing another Iradius incident.







thats the back story kinda sorted,now gotta sort the profile sorted.

Sounds like her experience with the forces of chaos would make her a puritan of some sort. The earlier post as her using the corrupting powers of the ruinous powers on themselves doesn't fit well with this new story. Seing her father so easily corrupted most likely would have convinced her in the folly of using anything warp-touched. Cool, hope to see her in model form on the forum!

I agree, she sounds like a faithful puritan type - maybe give her one of the Word of the Emperor skills.

Do you plan to convert the model? It's pretty easy to give her different weapons if nothing else. I assume you plan to have the priest in her warband? Who else?

I was meant to put at the start of the article,that im going in a different direction than i originally wanted to go in.

Im planning on using the deamonhuntress model,with a few modifications,because i like the paint job that ive done,im planning on using the josef model for vannon,i want to modify it,but not sure how yet,in either case,you should be seeing them in march!!
