Eldar Shenanigans.

Hey, how's it hangling Conclave.

My year in uni is almost at an end, and I'm looking for projects to occupy myself with while off for the summer. I already have a relatively minor conversion planned for my latest character (Icarael of Nostramo), but that's more a few hours work as opposed to a month or so's. Therefore I think the best thing for me to waste my time doing is making a clutch of 54mm Eldar, mainly because, well, I like pointy eared space elves.

Currently I have a stock ranger (with rifle) and a converted up Ranger Warlock, but I want more, much more. I'm thinking another Ranger (this one to more accurately portray my Ranger character - I don't like using the stock shooty ranger for what is first and foremost a combat character), a Harlequin (and maaayybe a Death Jester), a Wych (or two), a Kabalite (or two) and a Corsair.

Now, for plans. I have ideas for the Harlequin (involving the Deceiver and the Night Bringer if I do the Jester) and I've seen some pictures of models that will make fine Wyches with a bit of work. What is stumping me are the Kabalites and the Corsair, the Kabalites because I don't know of any armoured Eldaresque models and the Corsair because I'd really rather not use the Ranger a fourth time.

So, brothers and sisters of the Conclave, I ask for your help. Do any of you know of (or have any ideas I can "borrow") any models that could become Kabalites? Aside from the Avatar I can't think of any. Any of you know of an alternative Eldarey model that could make a fine swashbuckling pirate?

Some of Andrea Miniatures fantasy elves from their Warlord Saga range could work well as a base for a conversion.  As could some of Pegaso's Gehenna range.
I like to remember things my own way... Not necessarily the way they happened.

I did a bunch of Eldar stuff last year - my modelling thread is here:

There's some decent models to use as an eldar base in some of the historic ranges

I also had a pair of Eldar heads sculpted and cast up - I still have a few pairs kicking around if you wanted to buy some at very reasonable rates ;)

@ Kaled: I've been looking at several of Draconia's female models as possible bases for wyches, as well as KYRA by Pandora miniatures. Looking over the andrea site just made me really want to do a space marine scout...

@ Axiom: Thanks! That page is awesome, nice warband. I'd love some heads, how many do you have left?

for Eldar heads, you could always try my trick, file the jaw and cheekbones off a normal head and then conceal the tips of the ears; I mean Inquisitor is set in the Imperium, an Eldar isn't gonna be flaunting his heritage all the time
