Are they normally this bad?

I've bought two now and after a HUGE amount of shaking the paint is so thin.
So thin it runs off the model.

Anyone else find this an issue?

never had that problem with GW, but had it with cheap spray :(
my problem with the Mephisdon Red Spray is paint doesn't stick to it!

maybe take the mini & the spraycan back to GW for a replacement can?
i make no apologies, i warned you my ability to roll ones was infectious...

Try scrubbing the mini with a tooth brush and warm soapy water, I had a sim problem with a resin model. once it was clean it was fine.
Other than that it must be a faulty can

Thanks for taking the time to reply to a boring post.
Yeah this is the second can I have bought now.
May just take It to the store and see if I'm doing something wrong.

As far as I recall, the GW sprays were always fine for me in the past.

I find car primer does the job really well and a lot cheaper than GW's inflated prices. Comes in a wide variety of colours as well. YNWA

I may be mistaken, but I believe the only primers GW sells are black and white. The others are paint. The GW website describes the black and white for use for undercoating, and the coloured sprays as designed for basecoating.

It is very likely that the store got a bad batch of spray.  I have seen it happen with the GW glue here at a local store.

If you are in the market for an alternative to GW black primer, I recommend Krylon Camo ultra flat Black.  If the surface (plastic or metal ) is clean and dry follow the directions and dust it on.  when wet it tends to look glossy and goopy, but it does dry very matte with a similar texture to primer and does not fill in details.

I've had the exact same thing happen to me when it was very cold. It might have had nothing to do with it but I'm sure I tried the same can under warmer conditions and it was fine.
