Fellow 'clavers, meet Sister Elvana Dawn, Orders Hospitaller. She's not quite finished, once again a busy work schedule precludes me from completing a mini when it just needs a couple more hours work that I simply won't have for a couple of weeks or so.

She's obviously quite tooled up, sporting power armour and a bolt pistol (the sword won't be powered) so I only intend to field her as one half of a party of two. Back story to follow as time allows :)
Once again, comments and/or critique welcome. Thanks in advance guys.

That's a really nice model and I really like the simple, clean paint scheme.

What did you use as a base for the model and are there any work in progress shots (always interesting to see the model's development and changes)?

Battle Sisters are pretty powerful but not insanely so, most teams I've come across at Conclave events have at least one character who can handle such a foe (although I've had some bad experiences with Marco's Battle Sister, involving failed psychic tests, jamming bolt guns and pyrokinetic psychers frying my victorious Dark Eldar and allowing the sister to recover).

I also second the request the source of the model!

Also,
lovely palette for the model - very understated and effective!

Cheers for the great comments guys!

The base model is a very simple conversion (my green stuff skills are severely lacking) of the Draconia Xendra 54mm model, got mine from El Greco miniatures about 4 days after I ordered her. The head is from the original though heavily butchered, while the right arm & sword were just bits I had lying around.

I don't think it was quite so much the Battle Sister as the luck, be it good or bad, of other characters.

First time, to my recollection, all three of your characters failed at least one rather important roll when trying to fight her - and the second time, Maya decided to remind me of just how brutally unpredictable the flame weapon rules could be. A maximum seven for the D6+1 hit rolls, with no BS modifiers... that wasn't ever going to be pretty.

As far as Sister Rhian herself, I haven't actually found her quite as scary as I was originally expecting. I think she's probably scarier than I've yet been getting out of her (as I think I've yet to really capitalise on my Acts of Faith rules) but I'm not seeing a need that Battle Sisters inherently to be part of smaller character groups.

The end plan for Rhian is she will usually run in a typical three-character format, but with the limiting factor that her pool of possible allies is mostly going to be characters of questionable combat prowess (with whom she's been tasked with the rather unenviable job of trying to keep alive).

Captain L. Rollin: "Nonsense. Never heard of it."
Birgen: "Pick a window. I'll demonstrate".
