Where to find Cherub rules

A few years ago, I read some rules for cherubs in inquisitor. At the time I remember them being fantastic but that might not really be the case :p It included a list of different types, such as equipment carrying, bodg bodyguard, and as I recall, I pariah cherub. It called a group of churubs (cherubim?) a choir.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where I first saw them. It may have been linked from the original conclave...

I was wondering if anyone had any cherub rules kicking about, or any ideas for rules I could use.

I am planning on making a blind character who uses a combination of cherubs and/or servo skulls to see.

Thanks for any help!

As with most of these requests for rules, the stickied thread below is the place to look;

Specifically, this is the file you want;

I like to remember things my own way... Not necessarily the way they happened.

I guess I should have had  look through these after downloading them!

Thanks for the help.

Very helpful for my planned cherub, but where-was the-Editor?

I was reading through that PDF the other day and it struck me as to what would happen if the Cherubs became corrupt / influenced by Chaos.  I'm thinking a incredibly nasty chaos mage attend to by corrupted chaos infested cherubs could be a rather nasty end to a campaign.... *must go put idea to paper*

I'd be interesting in reading what you've come up with in regards to the blind guy with the servitors / cherubs could provide more inspiration :D

Inquisitor Lady NAME1

Equipment:
Light power armour: (armour 8, +5% S) Neural Whip. Cherubim Choir

Special Abilities:
Nerves of Steel, Leader
Angel eyes: NAME1 is completely blind, and therefore relies entirely on the visual inputs of her cherubim choir. Relying on someone else's eyes in combat can be quite a challenge...

NAME1 automatically fails any vision based awareness checks she is called upon to make. Instead, she must make checks using one (or more) of her cherubim, using their I. Before any action spent on an attack, (either shooting or close combat) dodge or parry, make a visual awareness check with one cherub that is aware of and can see the target. (Representing her concentrating on that cherub). Difficulty should be increased if the cherub is not directly behind NAME1.If the test is failed, then NAME1 suffers a penalty to the attack roll equal to the amount the awareness check was failed by. This modifier applies for all combat actions relating to that character for that turn.

At the moment that's what I've got. I'm going to do some more work on it when I've got the model built!

The stats are pretty much plce holders, and not how I want them.

That's a cool idea - I did something similar for the daemonic bookstand Meledandri and the blind bibliothecary Kendel for the conclave competition last year. The only problem with yours is without a name, a background and a completed set of stats, its difficult to comment on because there's no 'character' to reason the stats and equipment to! However, we shall roll with what we have.

Firstly, can you even get 'light' power armour? There might be an example somewhere, but not one I'm immediately aware of. You might be better off just putting her in thick plate armour (Av 7/8) and dropping her speed by 1 due to encumbrance. Then again, if she's kitted out with a neural whip, which suggests speed and agility, maybe clunky armour isn't the best for her? Maybe you should just kit her out in robes with a flak vest concealed underneath for maneuverability, and give her a conversion field concealed in a rosarius? Her gear list is a bit short too - no backup weapon? Maybe hexagrammic or pentagrammic wards?

Stats look.... well... like stats. Without any background (or a name, names really help with immersion) I can't comment on how well or badly her stats match her history and whether she is deserving of all her mental stats in he 90s. That said, I do think her BS should be 0, as without any eyes, if she was to 'shoot' anything, it'd be blind (ahaha) luck whether she hit or not!

I know all these problems, don't worry.

I have some very rough background ideas, but the really aren't in any condition to put up yet!

I want to hold off doing anything more until I've made the model so I don't end up with  character that doesn't fit the model, or a model that is too hard to make!

The stats (especially the mental) were rolled up with some very slight tweaking. The mentals will be brought waaay down when I have more of an idea what she's like, and looks like for that matter. I want the Bs a bit higher than 0, as she can see even if not from her own eyes. There would be huge penalties if the one she is using isn't directly behind her though. It isn't going to be very effective either way. Bs may get lowered somewhat though.

I don't see the light power armour as being too much of a problem. There are various designs of power armour around, so I don't see why there couldn't be something along those lines. And by light I just mean lighter than the standard, rather than some sort of scout armour. It will get a more fitting name at some point. She does have ties with the Mechanicus (Specificaly the Adeptus Biologicus) so would have a slightly better chance of getting hold of the rare equipment.  I don't know of any specific examples, but there are weirder things out there!

I quite like the conversion field idea, although I may not end up doing robes.

The idea behind the neural whip is that she likes to keep her distance (being blind and all) to make combat that slight bit easier. She also prefers to capture her foes for interrogation/live dissection. I guess I could do some sort of shock staff/glaive type thing, but I like the look of the neural whip, and want to have a significantly different looking weapon from the original model.

I know the gear list is short, I am waiting to get my grubby paws on the model, and having a look at what will fit, and what works with the character.

I wouldn't have put it up at this stage normally, but I was asked :p
