Ah, now that makes me think. On the note of possible models, have you considered either heavy conversion of a Kroxigor (if you would rather it were a quadruped), or tweaking a Salamander?

Both are a bit scalier than the pictures, but could work.

I have a metal salamander that I've messed around with, but it's not a particularly large model. I'm considering a barbed razordon instead, also from the lizardmen range and a bit larger. I'd try a kroxigor, but I feel the shoulders are too large and the weird carapace plate on its back makes converting it to a quadruped rather finicky, I'd literally have to take a belt sander or a modeling saw to it. I suppose I could track down an oop 4th edition (I think) kroxigor, those are a bit smoother.
