Hi All,

I stopped into my local art supply store, and they were advertising a new product called DARWI Modelling Paste. Has anyone heard of this, used this, or have any sort of feedback? For $7.00CAD it might be worth using as a sealing putty on silicone molds, but the owner of the store suggested it might be similar to milliput.

Never heard of it, but I'd be very interested in hearing more about it if you get any.

One quick google later, it looks like standard air-dry clay - like DAS clay, or similar.  I dunno where it might fall on the air-dry quality scale.  It says it doesn't shrink, which is better than some air-dry clay.
All the same, as a general rule of thumb I'd say it might be decent for larger sculptures or terrain; but for wee little finely-detailed gaming minis (even 54mm) epoxy putties and and polymer clays might be more forgiving.

That's not to stop you trying it out if you've got a spare seven dollars, though.
www.minisculpture.co.uk - a place about pushing putty 'til it does what you want it.  Currently recuperating from being hackered and knackered.
