Elva

After numerous setbacks, I managed to get my hands on a camera, the issue being its a cellphone one so the images are quality level 0. However, its all I've got at the moment. Elva's left arm needs to primed, but other than that they're almost ready for painting. Don't worry, I'm working on justifying Q'orl, and its coming along rather nicely. I hope you enjoy, even though they didn't come out well. Its 28mm scale by the way.

Guardsman Earl Higgins(Redneck Guardsman)

Inquisitor Elva herself(former Praetorian Officer)

Marksman Kaede(Vietnam style guerrilla sniper)

Ed (Q'orl)(Concept/backstory in progress)

Sadly, you can't see much to comment.

Have you tried activating the little flower icon which is Macro mode, that lets you focus much closer and stop its blurring, couldn't see much in my pictures until I utilised that and mine were 54 scale!

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Time to die.

With the exception of the Q'orl, they all look like they could have simply been lifted from a typical Imperial Guard army.  This makes me sad.  :'(

Sadly this is true, as I do play guard and it makes up most of my 40k bitz range. Though I do have some fantasy bitz as well mixed in there. Elva's sword and lower arm were from a high elf bolt thrower crewman, while her head was a sliver helm's and her and Kaede's torso's were from a dark elf spearmen box. Kaede's cape and Elva's trigger hand were from the high elf archer set as well, and so are Elva's legs come to think of it.

Not quite sure how to do that on my phone just yet. Its a cruddy free replacement, but at least its music player is decent ;D

And I was going for a bit of a guard theme, though they'll look really different when I paint them. (Elva will be all red and spiffy, while Kaede will be stealthy and green. Not quite sure what to paint Higgins, but I'm aiming for a southern style look, maybe a confederate flag on shoulder pad if no one finds it offensive(I see it as more of a historical symbol than oppressive. Or I could just say its a dukes of hazard flag :P)

It's a shame that the pictures in this thread aren't fantastic. I was looking forward to seeing some INQ28 goodness! :(

Your Guardsmen seem solid enough (potentially a little bland?). I'm intrigued by what I can make out of Elva, though I think the lasgun is a little much for the model to be carrying in a single hand.

Not sure what to make of the Q'orl, but kudos for trying to do something different!

INQ28, done properly, is at least the equal of its big brother - and Mol is one of the expert proponents of "done properly".

Ya, I wish I could use the other camera, but it is currently unavailable.

And don't worry, they'll look better once I paint them with all sorts of distinguishing colours.

Elva looks pretty cool, but depending on which backstory I choose for her, she'll look very different as I'll change a bit of her gear.

Thanks for the complement ;D I am happy that I made that model, and I'm even more exited to see the other players faces when I put it on the table for our first scenario.
