Hi. Long-term gamer and mil-hist buff, always had a love of Sci-Fi. Confess to having Inq models (given me by Gav Thorpe and Jervis J when Inq first came out, along with a set of the rules - which contain a reference to our original Skirmish rules) but never having played them.

Couple of group (Skirmish Wargames) members, me included,  do SF in 95mm (based on WH40K so we call it 40K-K for Kingsize) and even earlier in 120mm Necromunda-Rex (anyone want to buy some one-offs!!??).

Now looking at finally doing SF in 54mm, based on a space station in a take on Space Hulk. This is the main reason for signing up here, to mine for resources and ideas, rather than actually to start playing Inq (though I would love to do so, if someone would set a game up that I could get to).

I enjoy converting as much, maybe more, as playing.

Will post some links to photos of figures and games in Photobucket if that is OK?

Charax

ooh, I remember Necro-Rex from the Citadel Journal and Games Day...2001? that takes me back.

Welcome to the last bastion of 54mm Inquisitor on the 'net.

Where do you live? There may be some players in your area - there's a stickied list here;

We also run a few events in Nottingham each year with people coming from all corners of the country to attend. You'd be more than welcome to join us at one of those.

No problem - I sure we'd all love to see them.

I like to remember things my own way... Not necessarily the way they happened.

OK - Some WIP shots of Inquisitor Henchmen in 95mm at http://photobucket.com/mrb-inq-hench.

Other albums in the Sci-Fi albums have shots of other non-I types, both WIP and finished, should anyone be interested in this up-scale aberration!

Just added my location in the sticky - I am in Derbyshire/Notts border so GW Glactic QG is reasonably reachable.

Those models are completely barmy! I love them :)

What was the base models for the majority of them?
An Inquisitor walks into a bar - he rolls D100 to see if he hits it.

Fantastic models, what is it like to play with such big models?

Thanks.

!did a reply and lost it through BB problems!  :(

The figures are based on a wide range of 3 3/4" 95mm figures - anything I can get my hands on really. No genre or theme is sacred - I'll work with all and any. The Chirugen was a 'Disney' type, probably Schleich or Papo, Wicked Queen; Warrior a Dwarf form the same maker, or perhaps Early Learning Centre, with a skull from a ring; Servitors from unknown ranges long since defunct; Penitent from a PC game tie-in which seemed to feature zombies and knights.

Playing is great fun - we leave the distances as per the original rules and they work fine, so you don't actually need massive tables. I confess, though, I get more from the converting than the actual games.
