Sorry if I have not put this in the right place.

I usually play an inquisitor as I like the fun of running around and vortexing people with a reduced risk of zapping myself. However one of my friends has decided to run a mini campaign and I decided to change my character into something else.

The character I am wanting to do is basically hell blazer himself John Constantine. While I have a slight idea of powers and equipment, I don't know what would be the best archetype to use for him. Any suggestions? Thanks

Yes, this is the place.

You wouldn't get a perfect match for Constantine in 40K - he's too closely linked to British late punk/agitprop/anti-Thatcher stuff, perhaps too much of an anarchist. But in terms of being able to go "BEGONE FOUL DEMON", there are exorcists of various kinds in the background. If you can get access to the Dark Heresy rulebooks, they have quite a bit on them, but they are very much in the monk/priest/mystic/fanatic style. Pragmatic daemonology doesn't really apply in 40K, at least in many people's headcanon, because attitude is as important as knowledge (probably more so, due to the relationship between emotion and psychic power/the warp). Going to a daemon "here mate, wait a bit till I get to you" isn't the best move (actually, I don't think it worked that well for John either, but whatevs.)

In practice, moderate BS and WS skills, moderate strength, toughness might be a bit higher, high Nv and Sg, moderate Initiative, leadership is very flexible - some would be terrible leaders, being just terrifying and isolated, some would impress by example. Powers - Daemonology, of course, and look at the psychic powers in the Thorian Sourcebook, perhaps a rule to reduce the effect of Fear and Terror against Daemons, like the Sicarius power in the Recongregator Sourcebook, for a John-style I'd give True Grit (I mean, he may not be physically imposing, but he's got guts and willpower to spare).
Questions are a burden to others, answers a burden to oneself.
