The Organicist High Magos and his "warband"

I have noticed a lack of any real biological basis for a "warband" so I thought, being a biologist and all, that I'd do one myself.  I've been toying with the idea for a while but I was never happy with any group that I came up with.  However, I recently bought a couple of those cheap star wars figures (some jedi and some bounty hunters, 8 in total) and I think I now have an idea that I'm content enough with.

Pictures for the High Magos and Skitarus are unfortunately going to have to come later but currently I have this:

High Magos:
Quest for eternal life.  Brain, heart and lungs are only real organic tissue left.  Believer in the Organicist philosophy and a regenade of the adeptus mechanicus.   Considered a medium level danger by his former compatriots though the danger is likely to be higher.   Brain is several times larger than normal, almost certainly as a result of experimentation to try and extend his life.  The High Magos has reportedly been seen in the presence of a robed personel.  As such, assistence from an Inquisitor or something more sinister is highly likely.

Equipment/Skills idea: Floating machine.  Surgical equipment on the ends of 3 mechandrites, including some form of plasma cutter.  Wholly mechanical except for his brain, heart and lungs (but only the brain is a sure organic thing).  Almost certainly will have some kind of forcefield to protect his brain.  Natural statline almost non-existent.

Magos Valas:

Allied with the High Magos.  Interested in the biology of aliens and how their physiology can be used to better mankind and machines.  Wishes to create machines that can operate wholly by self without the need for third party maintenance, though does not intend to go as far as creating A.I.

Equipment/Skills idea:  Breacher and clamp mechandrites.  Right hand has three particularly long claws that are used in experiments.  Head, torso and left arm are mostly composed of bionics.

Archivist Basil:
Highly intellectual and an avid reader, so much it maybe be considered an OCD.  He was experimented on by the High Magos as a child, the result of which he no longer grows.  Although having the body of a child, Basil is mentally as capable as any adult.

Equipment/Skills idea:  Absolutely useless at everything combat related.  Body of a child, mind of an adult.  Effectively a genius and carries around a lot of books of various genres and topics... if something needs knowing - he'll know it!

Valas and Basil can be seen in action here:

Skitarii:
An ordinary skitarus who is in the service of the High Magos.  Although largely human, he has plenty of bionics in place of his nervous system.  No doubt another experiment conducted by the High Magus in order to find ways of eternal life.

Equipment/Skills idea:  The only member with any real combat training (and even then, not necessarily close combat training).  Hightened awareness due to bionic body.  Lacks any close combat weapons.  Carries some form of rifle to neutralise threats.  Completely armoured.  Has my favourite piece of clothing... a cape  ;D

QuoteThe High Magos has reportedly been seen in the presence of a robed personel.

To be fair, that describes 98% of non-military Imperial citizens, so isn't necessarily an indication of radical intent.

Yeah. It could very well just be a nobody.

However, a cowled figure who makes every attempt to hide his face, who no-one knows where they come from or go to and is frequently seen entering/exiting extremely secure areas with the High Magos...

... that's a different matter. You need it to be a suspicious robed figure - and you should explain why they're suspicious.
S.Sgt Silva Birgen: "Good evening, we're here from the Adeptus Defenestratus."
Captain L. Rollin: "Nonsense. Never heard of it."
Birgen: "Pick a window. I'll demonstrate".

GW's =I= articles

Yeah... that doesn't sound very convincing, does it?

*cough*

I was going to remove it but for some reason I didn't.  Regardless, the whole point is that this "High Magos" is very much suspect and so is this robed figure.  I'll have to really think up of some decent fluff, writing stories isn't something that comes naturally to me unfortunately.  I have more talent doing things in a factual way.
